LED sidelights that WORK

501 T10 501 canbus LEDs No error code bulbs

Surprise surprise but these side lights are starting to look more like blackpool lights on one minute then off the next but always the bulb out indicator showing on the dash

Looks like the 5 minute job is going to take a little longer...

My LED sidelights (the original ones James mentioned at the start of this thread) have started to misbehave... or rather one of them has.

When I start the car, the bulb warning light has started to come on briefly, then goes out again after a few seconds most of the time. But about 20% of the time, the light stays on and the driver's side LED goes out (if they're switched on at the time).

It's annoying enough for me to want to change them asap - I don't like having warning lights on the dash.

I've ordered some alternative LED ones for now (the Mtec LED sidelights with a separate plug and play resistor cable, from hidsdirect iirc).

If I see problems with the new LEDs, I'll be grudgingly returning to glass bulbs of some sort. :(

Or just stick the OEM bulbs back in? I put LED Sidelights in my old car and although had no issues with CANBUS etc... they didnt last very long before they started flickering or blowing or overheating. I tried cheapo 1W ones from Japan and expensive ones from America and in the end i ripped them out and put some normal bulbs back in. For the difference it actually makes to the overall car it's just not worth all the hassle.

Now stick on plastic spinners mind is a whole other matter!! They are def worth the time!! :cartman::p:D

This sounds like a stupid question but I bought my car with a HID kit already fitted. I have no idea what kit is it. I can see a unit that says "carpro". I don't know what bulbs I need for my car, are they universal fitting no matter the kit?
