cool sounds like you saved a nice amount there just ordered the top hard pipe myself as a spare of the moment thing.

Less resistance can only mean better performance in this case :).
I'm struggling to find the o-rings for the turbo outlet pipe though... Can anyone help??

Office Build Project

I think it's time I introduced the office-desk rally build :) - cheesy, but it keeps me entertained when bored!

As standard

What wind deflectors are they, they look really good, I don't normally like them but they really suite your car! Might have to get some myself.

Fitted the forge pancake replacement pipe yesterday.

Used the smallest adapter to mount the sensor

I'm losing a touch of boost now but that's just a minor adjustment somewhere, I'll check that soon.
Also, the turbo outlet pipe needs fitting soon, I ran out of light last night and now I'm reluctant to ramp the car up again because of the drivers tyre below. Anybody ever had this problem before? That tyre is only 7000 miles old. Been wondering why I've been losing so much pressure!

The bumper is a touch lighter now.

I also have a few maintenance items piling up which I will get round to doing soon.

Turbo Outlet Pipe Installed

Forge Turbo Outlet pipe now installed

The forge pipe has 0 play, where as standard pipe was quite wobbly. It also means that the next metal pipe along moves less too.

I removed the Turbo outlet pipe and metal pipe together which made it effortless.

ID is quite a considerable increase too. (Camera does over-emphasise the difference though).

I lined the lugs up the same way as the standard pipe before fitting.
Left the jubilee clips loose to test fit, then removed and tightened.
Took about half hour in total. Took a fair amount of persuasion but that's because it fits nice and snug.
Turbo now comes in slightly sooner in the range.
Noticeable sound difference when coming on and off boost too.

Quick update on the forge pipes.

Took it for a blast tonight - fast A roads there and motorway back...

Car picks up quicker on throttle and revs longer and harder through the range. It also has a nice sound when lifting off the throttle.
On the motorway it now sits about 250rpm lower at 70mph too :)

Overall, for £148 in the Black Friday sale I'm very pleased with the mods

Xenon bulbs and led side lights installed.

I've put 2 different led side lights in - 1 whiter than the other, to see which I like best in the dark.
Thought I may as well just see what I think of these for a tenner delivered before going to illegal HID's.

Only a daylight pic of the difference but a noticeable change in heat colour.
Quite happy with them for the time being.

Pancake pipe needs a good wiggle to get it off.
Also just make sure that the lugs on the couplers for the turbo outlet pipe are lined up properly compared to the original when it comes off. It needs a good shuv when connecting it back on to the turbo turbo outlet, but yeah other than that it's plain sailing mate.

I'm no expert either, everything I do is a first lol
