Ive looked on ITG's website but can see no mention of this kit, where are people ordering this from?

Andy at ITG, very helpfull; 0247 6305386

Just to say RobH and I were the 1st to fit the ITG and when fitted to mine in conjunction with sports cat and twintercooler the car made 70bhp more because it allowed stage 2+ to pull the correct boost and timing, don't forget to remove the transmission duct if you're fitting one cos it allows cool air to the filter from the foglight area! Great bit of kit, shame about the price...Get what you pay for..............

Appreciate the advice on the duct mod. Could you give a bit more detail? Do you have any pics? Does it have an adverse effect on transmission cooling??

Cheers

do you mean the thin metal sheets that stop air from getting around the intercooler. The ones that have to be removed for a twintake

Thats my next job i think, getting a duct pipe to the filter from the fog area but havent really had a proper look if its actually possible yet.

Is this the cars adjustments to the kit?? What should i look for???

Yes Mike, its the amount of adjustment (shown as a %) that the ecu is having to make to correct the cars fueling, therefore the nearer to 0% your trims are the better. An incorrectly scaled maf housing will result in inaccurate airflow readings and your fuel trims will reflect that. Obviously there are other factors that will affect the fuel trims such as boost leaks or a faulty maf etc. but even so, it would be interesting to see peoples fuel trims after fitting the ITG as its been well publicised for being one of the first cai's with a properly scaled maf housing. It would be good to see peoples airflow logs with the ITG fitted too.

Only found out about this when I fitted the twintercooler, it was in the instructions! There is a biggish(about 120mm dia) plastic duct going from the n/s foglight area back to the gearbox, this gets in the way of the new i/c hoses so you have to remove it. Can't imagine it'd cause a problem with our climate! But it does give a clear run for fresh air to where the new filter resides in its cool, cosy cubbyhole! It is noticeably cooler now in there, checked it while I was on the dyno, real hot under the bonnet, relatively cool in the filter area, a testament also to the ITG heat baffle! Only downside is I'm pretty sure the front bumper has to come off to do this, not the end of the world tho!

Would it be possible to keep that duct in and run a seperate duct up to the filter as i dont have the forge cooler so its still their on mine?

I think its in the way for any kind of other ducting, for what it takes to drop the front bumper I'd reckon it's worth it! Take a look through the honeycomb round the foglamp and see if it makes sense

When i was talking to Andy@ITG he said there was a huge amount of airflow down by the foglight to be utalised, other than cooling the brakes its pretty much unused.

Open or solid fins by fog light?

For those with the standard Cupra front, you mention air from the fog light area to feed the ITG intake, are the fins around your fog lights open as mine are solid?

Ram air tubing helps get air up from the foglight grill up to the filter. Not ITG but it all counts :)

No I havn't taken any pics of it mate, I didn't get it on to late last night, I will have another play with it,

The bonnet upright bar seems to be catching the foam when its down also

Think it does on mine if you look at the pic but i wouldnt worry as long as its doing it's job.
