spoke to direct line today and they sed they wud cover me without proof just not for thefts. once i prove it id be fully covered.

where do u get proof from? a dealer garage?

on the turbo subject just found full kit for 2.0 8v AGG engine inc piston rings, inlet, exhaust, turbo, intercooler, oil lines, pipework. gives about 180-200hp. think its about 2 grand though.

scroll back, email "talkto@seat" or something along those lines look back
email them, saying your car, explain you need proof they have asked for proof, and has factory fitted alarm
and ask for it sent to you, it's free, as the SEAT near me wanted £40 for the same thing....yeah...right!

Like I said though, if your car is older than a 1999 registered car the alarm and immob are not covered by the thatchams certificate you get from seat (in direct lines eyes anyway). As although it is the same alarm fitted before the period of certification, direct line will only recognise the immob as being upto standard after this date.

Hence why you find a lot of Ibizas (only 16v in my experience) with an aftermarket immob fitted

Ah rite, i'm not sure then.
I had a massive argument and ball ache with them almost 2 years ago when I bought mine for this very reason.

If you search for direct line on the forum you will find my thread, as well as others which all state the same problem

Least you got it sorted then

What did they say about the lowering etc of yours, they weren't v happy about mine, but then lowered my premium £80 a year when I changed to mk3 alloys

that's wierd?
they don't know...yet lol, but it's nearly run out, so might be going to someone like adrian flux or greenlight as i don't wanna get shafted for mods (as i don't really have any apart from suspension) exhaust is going soon, so will be more or less standard :)

im gonna ask cobra exhausts to adapt one of their boxes for the ibiza, they hit nearly 90db but give 10% power and torque increase.

lol 10% from a back box my arse.

thats what the dyno results say. could just be the machine acting up cos of the noise. my 1.4 used to be at least 85db down the motorway at *70*mph. it did seem to gain some power but cud of just been a lighter back box.

I couldnt recommend Adrian Flux enough mate. Ive just renewed my insurance with them for the 3rd year and didnt have any problems.

All mods covered and its only costing me £350 for the year. Thats with a speeding fine ansd well Im in a high risk postcode.
