If you get a cat 1 it won't knock it down one single bit... as long as it as an alarm on there it's enough, I got done by that years ago!

well you don't have to, just some insurers will not insure you, i know directline ask for it, and so do others
read above, if you email the SEAT people (when i told gtikezz) they will ask for chassis number/reg number, and can send proof for you!

as for mods, i think lowering it a bit would be a good start, as they have tractor stances lol

unfortunately im with direct line. hopefully they will just let me get insured without needing it.
i want to put a full stainless exhaust on with a milltek back box.

everybody here just suggests getting a 1.8 20vt engine conversion and getting a stage 1 remap to 200hp. stage 2 remap with front intercooler will give 250-280hp.

just the 1.8T from golf mk4s, seat leons, audi TT. if you really had money could go for a vr6 turbo which gives about 3-400hp with a few extras.

Hate to pis5 on your bonfire, but Direct Line were a pain in the ass for mine, and wouldn't accept that the factory immob was good enough, especially as seat could not provide a certificate for the car - just a general cat rating from T reg ???

Also, they aren't very mod friendly either, so you might find your premium increases rapidly if you start changing bits and bobs

On the other hand you might not have any problems at all

Try Bell, they were pretty good on my G60, and didn't want proof for alarms etc
