HIDs

I'm confused, bought some HID's last night for my mk3 Ibiza, they haven't arrived yet so thought i'd do a little research.

I bought the H7 type, do they work on dipped beam AND high beam? Or am i completely wrong?

as said above they are dipped beam only.... you would have to buy another set of H1's (i think) for main beam, but to be honest HIDS as main beams are pointless as they take a good few seconds to start up and then emmit light.

but the only problem i have about my HIDS. i have to either turn my HIDS off to flash some one or i just sit there flashing them and they cannot see my main beam over my hids
