Oh right, so after enabling it via coding I then have to go into the Adaptive Section??

Yeah there are some boxes that you need to put some figures in (can't remember exactly as it doesn't work at all on mine)

There was someone who posted it in the tips thread

On my stylance I have to leave the light switch on "ON" for the coming home / leaving home to work.

On DanGBs car I think work if they are on or off but mine wont work if theyre off.

Try setting time to 10 seconds through MFD and then leave lights on and test.

Hope this helps

My facelift MK2 has the heated mirrors but I found that they didn't get very warm at all.

A quick look on VCDS in cent elec, adaptation showed the heated mirror and rear screen time delay setting. It says it can be set from 15 secs to 600 secs (ten mins), mine was set to 15 secs so that's why they didn't get very warm then. So I attempted to crank it up to 600 and it wouldn't have it. 255 was the max it would allow (I guess that's a hexadecimal thing)? But why won't it let me enter 600 when the little info bubble says 15 to 600 secs?

255 seconds is only 4.5 mins so they won't dry out very well in the rain.

Anyone.

Doesnt that mean it will take 15 seconds after the button being pressed for them to start to warm?

i dont think thats the total length in time they stay on

 Well I set it to 255 and sat with the engine running for a few mins and they did get hot. They didn't get hot at all before.

I dunno, I need to have a play and time them.

Yes my pre FL MK2 used to too and my Exeo was the same. This FL MK2 up until today just made them luke warm and after a minute or two they were cold again. The dew didn't even dry off of them this morning.

A bit of a late reply, I know, but is it not a multiples thing? I was looking through mine the other night (I recall it being set to 600), and remember seeing a lot of options to set multiples, so like 10 x 60 seconds etc...

I'll have another look for you in a minute, I'll go and hook her up.

just to confirm,

Leaving home lights work without the lights being switched to on!

I dont have a coming/leaving home lights button either!

The lights switch off when you open a door!

Open the door, and pull the light levertowards you. It should stay on for a number of seconds :)
