VWFS accepted my rejection of PCH car and I will be getting rid of it, as soon as private plate is removed. It was actually quite easy, one email with description of problems and document from service and got offer after 10 calendar days. If I knew it will be so easy, I would visit dealer earlier to attempt fixes and then reject it. Looks like refund depends when you reject the car, as some people getting all their money back and other are offered only initial back.
I'm relieved, I won't have to live with ACC, undertaking prevention and other system errors. It was my second motoring mistake in my driving career, I was seduced by looks and spec on paper. I won't be getting anything else for the time being. BMW Z4 should be fine as my only car and it already has winter tyres on. And when used car prices go down, I may consider A6 Allroad C7 or A7/A8 previous models up to 2017, proper diesels V6 with big tanks.
And here's latest story from
Formentor life:
Yesterday my
Formentor didn't brake with enough power and without my intervention, it would crash into the car in front of me. I was driving in slow traffic for 10-15 minutes already and ACC worked ok and then suddenly it didn't. I could see it won't brake on time and was going to intervene, when it started flashing at me from dashboard "Brake!". How do you trust such system? I don't believe anything obstructed sensor, since it was ok before and after that incident and it braked, just not good enough.
