I just won another one for a mate for only £5.50 + £5.00 P&P..

It is a used key, so does show the usual signs of wear and tear though.

Bargain, works to, and came complete with new fitted uncut blade.

Couple of questions for you guys though..

1) What do you use to stick Transponders in the keys, if anything ?
2) What do you use to stick new SEAT badges on with ?

Thanks.

transponder just goes in the slot... however i just added a bit of glue, fron glue gun so can be easily peeled out if needed...... As for the badge i belive they come with a sticky back so just peel the back off and press on.........

ah i used clear nail varnish (not mine) it's enough to hold in normal conditions but easy enough to flick off if needed

it acts as a very weak glue trust me, it took a day to dry and i've already had to take it off once to stick down the transponder, with no damage to badge,

I might be being really dense but I have a standard key and there is nothing on it which indicates the frequency! I've checked both the main key (with remote) and the spare (without remote). Am I missing something here?!?!

Right - I've read through this thread quite a lot and there are a few bits I don't understand.

Will a key with part number HLO 1JO 959 753 AG FREQUENCY (434MHZ) work with my new Ibiza? The current key doesn't have a frequency on the outside??

Nope, nowt there. T'wud appear that justlivyalife had the same prob. There's nothing on the new ibiza key fobs but for the CE mark!

as said before i belive all the cars are 433.92mhz vw have just put that actual figure, 434 and 433, on the keys over different time periods. people with 433 on there original keys have got working flip keys with 434mhz on them

Paid £20 for it so was quite a good deal :) Never had a flip key before so hope I won't become a victim of that! :p.

Have you found the key to be too 'big' compared to standard? A friend's dad has a Passat and he said he found the key pretty bulky?
