Give me a call before calling your insurers and I'll share some details with you :)

Sorry for the noob question. If I was to get one if these for my new fr184 would it increase power and fuel efficiency? Has anyone got any real world figures?? Apologies if there is a retard thread somewhere else.

If you have a good scour through thus very thread I believe there are some proper dyno charts.

Andrew is a rare breed in the car modding/re-mapping world in that he makes claims of gains without them being made up on the fly and normally backing them up with evidence.

Most people find a drop of 1 or 2 mpg (this can be attributed to the fact its much more tempting to drop your right foot more often) and a good 25%-30% realistic power gain. DeanC has written up a lot of his findings on the thread too....

Id be really interested in this but wanted to check what the status is for DSG versions please. Would my 1.8TSI DSG handle the upgrade? (http://www.diesel-performance.co.uk/vehicle-seat_leon-(2013-)_1.8-tsi-180ps)

Thanks!

I would have thought you would be fine but I am sure Andrew will chime in some time soon to confirm.

'Suitable for Automatic Transmissions and for vehicles fitted with a diesel particulate filter'

My vehicle is the 2.0 TDI 150 and I have no worries slapping one of these boxes on and I will be having a realistic jump of over 100Nm more torque and the worst that I have heard happens is that high load in the upper gears the torque limiter kicks in and creates a very slight 'judder' where the limiter tried to reign in the power (Although this MAY only affect the 184 TDI).

Interesting. Does such a device exist where when cruising on the motorway mpg would increase but still with a little 'extra' pull on interesting roads???

Only thing i was a bit worried about was the dry clutch DSG and its 250NM "limit"

Technically cruising MPG should stay almost the same as the air and fuel will be higher for the same throttle position so you will just be using less throttle to cuise at the same speed.

Thanks. So realistically this a device if you want a noticeable increase in BHP?

Without a doubt yes and at £7.85 per extra maximum BHP (Using the 2.0 150 as an example) its pretty much the cheapest and easiest mod I have ever known after kicking your fat mate/girlfriend/boyfriend out of the car......

That's pretty damn cheap. So if I have a 184 what could I potentially achieve??
