It's coming from the right hand side. I think it's the charge pipe turbo hose come lose but this is a hunch. Hopefully not worse.
If the cars had a full rebuild by a well known tuner I wouldn't be checking for anything!
It should have been fixed properly first time!
Not disagreeing with the fact a simple check would of found the problem, but judging by the price he paid, I would be pretty annoyed with the fact the vehicle has just had forged rods fitted, and has broken down!
Then you have no idea about driving a tuned car
I suggest you look into people's backgrounds before you start making statements like that! My car is Stage 2 Ready. All modifications fitted by myself. And has never failed to start or break down.
The possibility is high that a hose has just popped off. But if I had paid £XXXX for work to be carried out I would expect it to be right the first time.
I no people make mistakes and it could be 'just a hose'
But would you be saying the same if it was 'just a wheel nut'
IMHO this is a design fault with that particular hose, if you compare it to oem, the oem has a lip to prevent the hose slipping past the clip. When i installed the relentless the hose got so hot it started to burn, it became quite slippery and partly pulled past the clip. It was my own fault really as i had ditched the oem heat shielding and not fitted the aftermarket heat shield. Stainless manifolds radiate significantly more heat than the oem cast.Turbo cars pop hoses off for fun. I've had the Forge charge pipe pop off the turbo a few times. It's now been holding for quite a while (touch wood) since i got some JCS hi grip clips. I think mine was coming off due to the heat of the (standard) manifold allowing the jubilee clip loosen.
