Getting this kit fitted on Wednesday. Interesting to see the results. Going to be running 50/50 Water/Methanol mix. Going to log to see if i can run the APR 104 octane file with this setup. All depeds on the timing pull across each cylinder but will be interesting stuff as if it does should see 400+ :)
I have seen a couple of people try this before but never with the new APR code, could be a good way to obtain more power without running race fuel :)

How does this system actually work?

I don't know the ins and outs pal, but on my set up you have two injector nozzles that sit in the throttle pipe next to the intercooler. At 12psi these injectors will start spraying "from my washer jet tank" with the quantum screen wash 50/50 meth. The water keeps the intake temperatures reeeeally cool (like on a reeeeeally cold day you feel your car is faster) and the methanol allows for timing advance as straight methanol is the equivalent of 111 octane i believe. More timing makes more power :)

There is a pump that activates when the car reads 12 psi boost pressure and will switch on the injectors instantly :)

what kit you fitting, the boost solenoid or the progressive controller kit? also what nozzle/s you thinking.
when i was running this on my old 1.8T the BHP/TORQUE gains wernt massive on dual D01 nozzles, about 8-10bhp 10-15IBFT. Its summer time/hot weather when it comes into play. the only thing i found annoying i was emplying my catch can every week plus its amazing for cleaning valves.

If your running the 104 apr map what will happen if you run out of methanol? wont you run lean? or when the methonal isnt spraying?

Its the universla system mate, so it should spray the same amount as soon as it is activated. Yeah that is one problem with the 104 file. If the WMI failed there is zeo protection. I may just keep it on the 98 octane file for just now and check the gains :) And maybe have a blast with 104 (timing dependant) on the rollers jsut to see the difference

I have the progressive kit in mine mate. Runs very well. Can run the apr race file no problem at all. Barely pulls 3s. Keeps iat exteemly low which help with overall timing. I have the same twin injector setup. Start spraying at 12 psi and full spray at 21. It's the progressive kit, they seemed to work well for me and my logging

I use the quantum consecrate from tps. Buy in bulk 50/50 mix. All depends how much you came your car as it only kicks in at 12 psi. I think a full tank last 2-3 petrol fill ups.

No mate haven't had a chance too. Need to get it on the dyno again as just out a new large intercooler in and turbo discharge pipe. The bum dyno would tell me the car has considerably more pickup in midrange. Pretty savage. I don't run the 104 file all the time. Just now and again for grin factor

would love a blast now and again with the 104 race file hehe
ill see how you get on g then decide to go for it or not,i ran the snow stage 2 cooler system on my old vrs was a great system once mapped in,also liked i could use it when i wanted to

I'm running the same kit but with only one nozzle mounted after the throttle body. Cannot run the 104 file as timing pull goes to high. I think the two nozzle set up makes the difference. But the down side to it is that you are risking the throttle body to break down, several reported issues on forums with pre throttle body nozzle set up.

only if you run the nozzle right before the throttle body. If you run the nozzle as low down the throttle intake pipe as your can e,g. just after the intercooler. It will be fine. ITs only a very small nozzle and the devilsown new nozzels have a very very fine spray anyway, By the time you spray the watermeth it will be used as instant charge cooling and be disperse in the air, so no issues with the throttle body.

If you spray right before the throttle body it wont have time to evaporate into the hot air so can cause TB issues. I spent a long time investigating this on the US forms and that was the normal cause. With the twin spray setup you get the benefit of low IAT and the boost in octane levels.

yes mate thats the correct kit....i tried multiple nozzles and now use a do3 in the lower throttle intake pipe, i use a bsh pipe that already has a meth bung, and a DO1 (New Nozzle) in the post TB adapter. Seems to work well with no pooling. 0 timing pull across all cylinders when using the normal file, this is a good sign the meth is getting evenly distributed across all cylinders. I also use the solenoid to stop any meth pooling
