Maybe turbo is in very good condition? Is it Danny?

would you trust a high performance turbo, that has supposedly been used for 22k miles and you have only paid a £100 for it?

if it was me, I would want it done right the first time and the only time and not to have the whole build weakened due to cheap used parts. Been there and got the t-shirt with using cheap crap parts.....

i'd be either sending the turbo off for a full recon, or just buy myself a new one

Ah ok i didnt know that it had been used for 22k. If thats the case, i doubt an IHI would be treated with care, its there to be ragged, so i wouldnt buy one at that price and at that milage. I'd seel it on and get a ko3s hybrid.

Hope it works out for you though Danny. Dont wish bad luck on anyone ;)

Hay danny, my IHI is pinned on the hot side and has a 'V' band fitting holding the cartridge in to the hot side housing, so if yours is like mine its not as simple as in that video, it will need splitind and a new hole drilling for the pin to locate in once you have clocked it by the desired amount, even so it's still a simple diy job.
The compressor housing is similar to the vid though, although there may be some sealant to loosen first then split the housing clean all the old sealant off and re fit it in th possition you want, i'm unsure of what the selant is yet, Bill or somebody will prob be able to recommend the best stuff to use. :)
