I had another go at makeing the Jetex fillter look a bit more attractive in the engine bay today and failed, so I'v gone back to my modded airbox, I also drilled a few more holes in the bottom of the airbox to try and add a bit more induction noise

On a more concerning note when I removed the Jetex there was quite a lot of dirt partical's sitting in the TIP :-o unfortunatly I did'nt take any pictures but Jonjay was there to witness the amount of dirt that was there and we were both suprised, Looking at the fillter from the insdie out you can see a lot of light passing through the fillter so it's easy to see why it let so much dirt through,
So moral is an open cone may let more through but at what cost

We wnet for a bit of a drive today and the car does feel less punchy with the airbox back on :( This is a big dissapointment in 2 way's, firstly I really did'nt like the look of the open cone and secondly I a bit worried now about fitting a cone that will let dirt into the Turbo, I might have to have a look into getting an Apexi daul cone, I have heard some good things about them and Jonjay has one so it's got to be fairly good :D

Yeah that was the one I saw,
There was one on here for sale but I think it's gone

Yeah it has.

Me and jonjay only have a 70mm MAF and the Apexi bracket that comes as standard is 76mm so we used a 76-70 reducer.....You would be better off seeing if you could buy the filter on its own then I'm pretty sure there is a place on ebay that sells 80mm Apexi adaptors :)
