@ AndrewJB Have you changed te mounts on the Cupra 280 as well? How was the daily drivability with the LCR? - a lot of vibrations?

Cheers

There is a very small amount of vibrations on a petrol, on a TDI it's another matter.

How does the full motor-mount set fair in daily use? Is it very harsh? I do track my car quite a bit, but would still like to ride home in a smooth and vibration free cabin.
Also does anyone have experience in BFI mounts and how to order them to Europe?

Regal Autosports are BFI importers but when I asked they had none in stock mainly as interest was quite low, this was some time ago however. Are you planning on getting the full works or just the inset?

I haven't decided yet to be honest. I am concerned about the vibrations, going full out, might mean that the mounts even out and the vibrations might be ok, but then again it might just be awful.
The sound and extra noise I don't mind at all.

That is why I'm asking and would like to get some feedback if anybody has gone down this road and how is it.

I'll check Regal, maybe they have ordered some and I might succeed in getting it

The best MQB chassis around :D mk7 golf admittedly but were all EA888 anyway so its the same parts

DSG or manual? From what I have read and experienced, seems like DSG gets the most shakes and vibrations.
I've got a manual 280, so should be fine...

So good news and bad news. Good news is, we are now roll controlled. Bad news is, still standard map :( that won't get sorted till next weekend now. Anyhow, I think the real test will be after we're back at full power but so far results are good. Extra vibration is minimal, however noise is increased, you can really hear the running gear and stuff which at first I wasn't too sure about but it's really grown on me over the last few hours and I'm glad exists.

In terms of speed, I actually feel faster even without a map. There is no longer any engine rocking under acceleration and deceleration. It's hard to describe but it's like everything feels more solid, you put your foot down and off you go without any hesitation or movement in any direction but forwards.

We shall see how it holds up under stage 2 next week!

So what did you end up getting? The whole motor mount set including the torquearm bushing?

Sorry, I still can't make it only with the pictures.
How is the neutral and reverse?

Yes full kit, as per the link about. Basically 2 big ones instead from above and then the bottom one that needed the subframe removing! I'll take some more pics installed tomorrow.

The vibration really is extremely minor I can't believe how little it is so neutral and reverse are fine.

Can you please share a link where you ordered from?

Sorry mate instead of "instead" in the post above it was supposed to say "in the link" bloody autocorrect! I can't find it anywhere else but that ausie site which doesn't help too much. I'll put some more pics up today of it in the engine bay.

You could always ring shark and ask if they can supply them?

So how's it been with the full mount kit? Regretting yet or smooth sailing?

Definitely not regretting it and still barely noticeable and still eager to see how it performs at stage 2.

Would be interested to know how much it is rrp as to whether I'd deem it a worthy mod but that could be said for all engine mounts and is quite modder dependant really.
