did a bit more as its a bank holiday weekend

yesterday i started a little project

and i had some help from the GF

Did one more coat on the front this morning then moved on the the rear,
i think its ok to support the rear like this

the rears were caked in years of dust

but nothing a dremel couldnt fix

then broke out my secret weapon, the GF

and had the rears done in no time

then noticed this pipe, couldn't think what it was at first, but now i think its the fuel overflow pipe from the drain port under the fuel flap

now i have to let them sit for 24 hours before i can drive the car [:@]:censored:

But I haven't put it in the car yet.

And today I started my big boot build to get rid of my not so stealth sub box.

Started my 2nd attempt at a boot build a while ago now but its almost finished so i thought its time to update my RR

starts with a blank canvas

cut base wood to size

test the desired height

add some supporting wood and add some base material, it helps to have a sexy assistant

add some fiberglass matting and the wood for supporting the sub

add some resin and hardener

cut a hole for the connectors

add connectors and line the box with an old sheet to make it look snazzy then add the box lid

test fit sub

add a support ring for the top cover

add some feet to the support ring

test fit the top cover

stick the support ring to the top cover

FYI £19 gazebo is worth every penny

check it clears the sub

add some plasti dip

then add carpet to the top cover but don't take photos because you are covered in spray adhesive and install it in your boot.

To install a bad ass sub install in boot please follow these instructions

remove spare tyre, tools and all the crap that seems to accumulate in there

add sub box

add side plate

Add sub

fit amp and connect all wires as needed

insert top cover

have a cheeky test play of the LEDs

insert amp access panel

and finally insert sub cover disc

removal is reverse of installation

now to find a new sub without a big crack down it
(its not as rattly in person and the iPhone cant pick up the sound properly)

Just checked my insurance to make sure it won't go up by much if I put an exhaust on and woop woop, it's free to add it so I just ordered my new SSXVW052 cat back exhaust, the guys at awesome not only price matched they beat the price and it's delivery included all for £370. Now to find a place to fit it for me.

Yesterday I fitted my milltek non-resonated catback exhaust

Yes I painted the tips with the left over blue caliper paint, I'm starting a trend I know it.

Loving the leon mate, looks asesome. I've got a yellow cupra and thinking of vinyl wrapping my bonnet matt black (dunno if it would look right) until I see this plastidip. Never seen it before. Just wondered how easy or hard is it to do and if theres loads of prepping to be done (never spayed before) looks like you've done a top job!

i just cleaned it, dried it then sprayed it, pics are on the last page, its easy to do, it just takes time between coats.

Loving the sub build! looks cool

thanks, its got a new sub in it now but its a bit to loud and rattles now so its on my list of things to sort this weekend

Yea I see your pics that's what give me the idea. Did you use any primer atall or just straight onto metal? I've never sprayed anything before so I suppose it's a bonus being able to peel it off if it goes wrong. Is it easy to look after once done? Sorry for all the questions
