Really not having much luck with the car at the moment :(

Had a full alloy spare in the back so managed to change it over.

As I was doing about 70 when it went, the tyre was roasting hot and steaming when I managed to stop. Inside side wall of the tyre is shagged, even with a hole in one place. Will certainly need a new tyre. Might just get two new fronts while I'm at it.

This could have happened to my old tyres, ask Jonjay before we swapped them over lol..

My mistake was assuming the inside wall of the tyre was fine because the tread on the outside edge was all good and I don't drive it much. So important to check them regularly and I will never be that slack again or things like above do happen :(

Sorry to hear mate.. If replacing both get some good rubber on there.

It was good rubber on there thats the annoying thing! I dont think it was the sidewall that caused the puncture, it was running on it for a bit at high speed as the tyre and alloy were roasting when I found somewhere to stop. Was probably that which knackered it :(

Hopefully I can get the Vred's again!

If you are still after Ultrac Sessantas then Camskill are doing them for £99 a corner, which is about 10% off their normal price. Not sure how that compares to other places, just thought you might want to know as it probably wont last long (price or stock tbh). When it rains it pours right?

Little update on this as its been a while....!

Vred's fitted and working well.

Car is approaching 100k and due a full service and new brake setup too. I'm looking into the following:

- FERODO DS2500 BRAKE PADS (camskill)
- EBC BRAKE DISCS EBC ULTIMAX SPORTS BRAKE DISCS USR1338 - EBC Ultimax Sports Discs (camskill)
- MOTUL - RBF660 Racing Brake Fluid - 500ml (x3 for a full bleed) (camskill)
- PAGID OEM rear pads

Would I need braided lines too? I think the LCR has them as standard with with Brembos?

Good choice on the brake set up mate, got the same on mine and finding it to be spot on. You only need 2 bottles of the Motul brake fluid for a full bleed mate

All purchased and should be delivered tomorrow. Will be getting fitted on Friday hopefully at AmD with a full service too. Will treat myself to a cheeky decat pipe as well but wont be fitted at the same time as its MOT time next week.

One bummer is that one of my HID's stopped working on Sat, but they are only 1.5 years only and still covered under warranty so a new ballast is in the post for free. That's the benefit of not buying cheapo kits on eBay so you actually get some after sales service. Really impressed with how HIDs4U dealt with my issue.

Oh and she got a wash on Sat too...

Nice to see this thread popping up with an update again :D

Great choice for the brake setup mate, it's exactly the route I'm taking with mine. DS2500's and EBC Ultimax grooved discs with the Motul fluid. Not sure if I'll get braided lines though.

Glad to see you might get a decat pipe too ;) Does sound louder for sure under boost...

Is it a major service she's getting mate? She scrubs up well too don't she!

Cheers guys :)

Yep a major service plus a few other little things looked at. Not getting braided lines either, think the LCR has them as standard...?

It does, just they're clad in black rubber/silicone so they don't look like they're braided, hence a lot of folk don't think they are.

Car looks good after the wash, black ones always come up so well. Believe me though, if you'd parked yours next to mine before you washed it you wouldn't have said yours was a disgrace! ;)

Haha, it was worse than that photo showed! Dipstick had poped out and oil has pissed all over the engine so gave that a good scrub too.
