Okay I managed to hold off ordering, just to make sure I've got all bases covered. This is a list of what I have and am planning to get.

Snow foam: Magifoam
Bodywork Shampoo: AG shampoo
Wheel sealant: CG wheel guard (c5 is a bit expensive)
APC: Tesco daisy (apparently good for APC)
Alloy cleaner: Brite gel
Trim / tyre dressing: CG New look gel
Pre-wax cleanser: Lime prime Lite
Wax: AG HD
Machine polisher: DAS-6 Pro
Polish: Menzerna bundle with the machine polisher.
Pads: 3 grades of Lake County Pads (cutting, polishing, finishing)
IPA
Quick detailer: FK425
Glass polish: Cerium Oxide
Glass cleaner: AG fast glass
Glass sealant: Autobrite Repel
Interior smell: CG 'stripper scent' for lolz
Tape: 3M 3434
Accessories: Detailing brush (for vents/badges), 15 ultra plush microfibres, 1 meg wash mitt, 4 Monza lamb wool wash mitts, 4 foam applicators, large alloy cleaning brush, AG alloy brush, Kent water blade, 2 large drying towels, sponges for tyres. And I think that's it. Detailing certainly ain't a poor mans hobby is it... >.<

Anything I should add/subtract?

Cheers

Hah yeah perhaps. My friends all think I'm weird for keeping my car so clean..

They ask my why I do, and say all they use is water and a sponge. and sometimes fairy liquid :ban:

They laughed at me even when I mentioned 'car bodywork shampoo' :p

I feel bad for their future cars...

@ Chris & Blanco - snap! Why don't people get it lol. This may sound weird, but i would actually like to take all the company cars in my work home and give them a good detail lol - they certainly need it!

Bought a few bits myself the other day:

Bilt hamber regular clay (never been clayed in 7 years of life so went for regular)
AG bodywash shampoo
AG SRP
AG EGP (wanted HD wax but wallet couldn't do it)
AG fast glass
AG interior shampoo
AG odour neutraliser
AG autofresh
Turtle wax bug and tar remover
Halfords engine cleaner
and
polishing cloth
dusting cloth

everything will be done by hand cos cant afford a machine haha. not going for a professional detail by any means, just want to get the car relatively clean.

NOOB question - what should i use to apply/buff out the polish/wax??
also any good cheap APC??

Get Collinite 476S wax instead then, works very well, only costs £10-£15 and by far outlasts the HD wax! It's been on the 'rents A6 8 months and it's still beading well!

Apply the polish with microfibre cloths, and buff with nice clean ones, I had a stack of 20-30 MF cloths ready when the A6 mentioned above was detailed!

I'd apply wax with either an MF pad or a foam pad though, then buff with MF cloths. The pads allow you to waste less wax when applying, so your tin lasts longer. :)

See link HERE for what I bought, Colli 476S wax kit with applicator pads and MF cloths. Or HERE for the wax on it's own.

I can simply say it's a small business venture for the Summer holidays :p Plus the DAS-6 will last years, as well as some of the products. . I don't drink often or do drugs, don't smoke or anything like that, so I guess I can spend my money on something I like :)

I have 'friends' who spent £200-300 on weed in a couple of weeks.... And when you think I spent £300 on detailing stuff which will last me several YEARS, it kinda puts it into perspective.
