I went for white LED's, but they are more blue than that pic suggests. Will take another later and post it up.

I went for the LED sidelight bulbs from ultraleds, but weirdly one of them has a blue tint (which almost perfectly matches the 6000k HIDs), whilst the other has a slight green tint. I guess there must just be some variation in the exact colours of these bulbs, but either way I've emailed ultraleds to see if they will swap!

Right - i've decided to say sod it, and have just bought an H1 kit for my main beams too. At these prices it almost seems rude not to!

Just need to find somewhere to put the other 2 ballasts now...

Good stuff lads! I have been tempted myself actually, but I've only used the high beams once since I've fitted the HID's so I'm going to hold off for now. Might be tempted later in the year though, we shall see :)

I'm going to have a play later to see if I can move my ballasts anywhere else. Got sod all else to do at the moment so thought I'd have a play :)

Just for the people who have ordered in the last few days, it may be worth noting that Mr Mydepot is on holiday for chinease new year at the moment.

He will be back on the 26th of Feb.

Hi Rob,

My passenger side one lives under neath the light unit inside the plastic cover that screws to the front slam panel - nice and neat and out the way. Just screw the ballast carrier down to the plastic undertray.

Drivers side one attaches via a bolt to the chassis leg just forward and to the left ( looking from the front of the car) of the washer bottle. Again nice and neat and out of the way. Easier to lie on your back with a long socket extension to tighten and see where the bolt is.

I had spotted that location for the passenger side, so that was my first port of call there. Do you have any pics of the drivers side location? It sounds a similar place to where mine is already (pics in the HID guide)

Moved the passenger side one now but not to the same place. There simply isn't room to get it under there on the shelf without removing far too many other bits and pieces. It's now on the side of the wing instead though so a little better.

There is sod all chance of the drivers side one going in the same place as yours though. Guess the LCR and TDi engines are laid out differently, as there simply isn't anywhere to bolt it to with enough room.

Cheers though, gave me inspiration to have a go at least
