See the two metal struts infront of the radiator at 45 degress angle, these were stopping the fmic coming up in between the crash bar and these, there was only a 2.5 inch gap inbetween these struts and crash bar, and the thickness of the fmic is 3 inch, i was thinking of cutting the struts out, but after strugers1 (karl) done this to fit his allards fmic, it weakened the slam panel and it the bonnet would only shut with quite a bit of force and the slam panel sagged slightly. By cutting into the crash, this would bring the fmic closer to the bumper for more visibility to others :p and maybe slightly better airflow being that tad more forward. Plus the crash bar is still very strong ;) i hope  I hope that explains it mate :)

dont forget my fmic is integrl ith the slam panel now though!!so i cut the A pillar out but used the fmic to replace it woop woop

Just a small update, since fitting the fmic, it goes very well, pulls harder, i must admit ;) well it must be running well to be dead even with my mates 187bhp 314ftlb fabia VRS from rolling in 2nd and 3rd gear from 2000rpm :) Only slight problem is it used to hold 20psi and drop to 19/18psi at 4500rpm with the standard intercooler, now its only holding at 18 and drops to 16psi a bit before 4500rpm. Ive read that you can lose a bit of boost fitting a bigger intercooler, and before you ask, ive got no boost leaks :p so i spoke to ben@AmDessex and he said this can happen so it will be going in next month for a new map/map tweak to sort the boost out and hopefully a bit more power :D

Where did you get the intercooler and the pipework from mate?

The map pipe is from Forge, the FMIC is from intercoolerking on ebay, search "twinpass" and I'll let Brad tell you where he got the rest of the pipework and silicon from. I'm looking to do the same type of setup on my LC sometime soon

Bought some carbon leather from ebay (from a korean seller but top notch) the stuff is really good and easy to work with, providing you can use a scalple.

The intercooler was intercoolerking on eBay and the map pipe was from forge, I then bought the silicone joiners from forge and the intercooler pipe is a universal pipe kit in size 64mm from eBay costing £54.99, hope that helps mate :)
