Well fitted my SFS turbo outlet pipe and 1.8t pancake pipe yesterday, here are a few comparison pics of the uprated pipework i have used and oem rubbish lol

And this was the tricky bit, the oem green rubber of the red turbo end connector wouldnt fit the uprated sfs one as it was a thicker rubber, a trip to B&Q sorted that out :)

Massive difference in diameter!! How does it feel on the road? Have you noticed any variation in noise, spool, torque?

Yeah, its like twice the size, it feels much quicker on the road, especially midrange and then top end :) It whistles much more now, i think its down to the connector not having a restrictive outlet size, the torque feels more now too :D

*Cough* it wasnt your idea.... :) however!!! Your version of this idea has me convinced.

It wasn't no ones elses idea :p I'm the first one to use a sfs pipe with a 1.8t pancake pipe on the TDI :) ner ner :lol:

Oh did you speak to sfs? What did they say mate?
