Mate you have the patience of a saint, if that was me I'd be raging and more than likely giving them the keys back!

Jase, that is what is going to happen.

Number for SEAT UK some one again please.

I dare not actually go into the dealers as I do have ... as my missus puts it 'Anger management issues' and a very short fuse.

Then you need to learn to write letters

Going to see them won't resolve issues - your contract is with the dealer, and you MUST write to them (templates for rejection are widely available)

Phoning someone to complain is "not" a way of dealing with issues in a legal manner

Contrary to popular belief I am not some sort of barbarian, I have just lost patience with the new service manager who has hidden in his office on every occasion when I have been in.

Amazing fact I can actually write as well as rant!

So I will try again, if anyone can please reply with the contact details for Seat UK or post me a hyper link I can crack on, and write a letter (hopefully if my latent rage allows me) to express my concerns to Seat

Thanks.

Brendan

You need to write to the dealer, not the importer. You bought your car from the dealer.

Amazing, but I do know this. I wish to also contact Seat UK to make them aware of the fact of how dissatisfied I am of the service that their dealership is providing in relation to the service/warranty work being carried out n my vehicle. Also as a key point the Dealer is now only a service centre, as they no longer are a main Seat dealer as of last month.

Please if you cannot comment in a sensible pleasant and productive manner then I request that you do not. I understand that this is your domain, and you have the right, however your manner appears to be rather condescending and pedantic to say the least.

To clarify your point raised in your previous posts we have already written to the dealership all to no avail. Yes I should have made this clear earlier, but my initial correspondence with the dealer pre empted the situation that I now find myself in.

Thank you Jason, I remember now, must be having a senior moment!

Clearly you know it all..... hence the thread asking for a phone number...

However this link helps you out by pointing out some key things you need to make sure you've covered off in your letter

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/advice/2010/09/buying/returning-a-car

If you've written "to no avail" I would suggest you haven't written the right letter. Perhaps seek advice from the charity Citizens Advice Bureau if you need help getting the point across

I don't believe that you need to worry that they're only now a service centre, they still have a contract to supply a defect free car

Sadly in life no one knows everything, and on occasion you forget things you have done. I forgot to check for the previous thread, and frankly rather disappointed on Friday with the dealer. I used this thread to ask for the number as I was in a shoot from the hip mode on the day.

The content of the letters we have sent is fine, the reaction from the dealer has been only words and verbal promises no action. We have sited this in all our correspondence and have been referring back constantly to all emails and letters in our attempts to resolve this. Sadly I am disappointed not only in the service but also in the car its self. I like to think that as my wife is the Financial Budgeting and contracts accountant of a children's television company and I for my day job an FE Lecturer and course coordinator, can write a letter than clearly be understood by anyone and is phrased in the correct legal manner. Particularly considering my wife works in this area in relation to her profession. It galls me that people cannot behave in a proficient and productive manner, blaming the manufacturer for everything.

I have to say that now that I am driving the Altea XL I am pleased with it, however if I wanted one of these I would have purchased one. To this point I now own a Focus Mk1 RS and the quality and drive of a six year old car is comparable, if not marginally better than the Bocanegra in many respects. Quieter with less rattles and equivalent performance.

Damn dude, my heart really goes out to you. These bocs seem to be night and day with most folk. Most of us, no problems at all but then some of us, like you, major issues. I really hope this gets sorted mate so you can enjoy this car for what it really is. If I had to start having issues like this I think I may be forced to get rid of the car too but thankfully after 7.5K no issues yet.

LMFAO!

I would just like to broker a deal to get my car back. So what do you reckon to go for in compensation? Had an email back today from the sales manager who is trying to do his best to help, asking what they can do for me in relation to this

mmmmmmmmmm now here is an interesting one. Free skirts and spoiler? 3 years free servicing? Maybe they should pay back months payments on the car that you have not had it for? If you are paying anything on it, poor folk like me have to finance you know hahahahahahhahaha

SEAT will not entertain compensation not in £££££'s anyway , they will give you free services or extended warranty , been down the same road and hit the same wall.

all the best though mate.
