its about better boost control all in all,ecu can vary wastegate opening, we used to have this problem,(not on this engine thou) mapping in of air injectors to wastegate sorted problem , we dont run dump valve either, air correcter can hold wastgate open slightly on the off throttle times stopping stacking effect, its much more acurate way of controlling boost

how would holding wastegate open stop compressor surge on closed throttle? pressure pulse is from throttle plate back to comp wheel

Last night and on way home from work i have been giving it a little more stick in 2nd gear, one word MENTAL.... bone dry roads and masses of trye squeeling, i haven't revved it past 6K either.

Bill what do you think a safe rev limit is for my engine?

cant load it up in 3rd gear as boost is going to high 1.9 - 2.0 BAR which is a little high it think until its mapped, but by god is it fast.

Oh and i was wrong about spool up, its more like 0.70 bar at 3000 - 3200 rpm.

Phil my memory is real bad, what you getting done fella?

Mat, just to check what manifolds didnt fit..

ATP mani, didnt fit.
Backdraft didnt fit
Impossible, was **** so you didnt bother?
JBS equal length fitted.

So the size difference between hoochs gt28rs and yours must be pretty big as he runs the ATP one doesnt he?

The ATP for the golf which i think matt tried didnt fit, but hooch's is a one off for the Ibiza?

There must be something else that will fit thats not over a grand?

The GT28 60 and the 71 are the same size in appearance, just different inside.

I'm sure hooch will say which one he has and which one is needed to get the 2871 to fit as i'm leaning toward that now.

Strange how matts didnt fit tho and hoochs did.

Manifolds that defo don't fit ibiza are:

ATP Golf mani.
Impossible performace might, but it was that **** i didn't even try.
Backdraft doesn't which is a shame as it is a nice bit of kit.

JBS equal length does fit.

The GT2860 is a 28RS as far as iam aware.
mine is the GT2871R which is physically the same size as 28RS but larger internals
