Just seen the steering wheel touch up work, looks good. I did the steering wheel and gear stick a few years back but purchased a kit online and sprayed it. Not had to be re-done since.

So you can use these and there'll be no tackyness? Thinking of doing all red bits blue

I used calipers paint for my steering wheel. Used nail polish before but it slowly rubbed away.

For my steering wheel I used a kit from amazon. Came with all the stabilisers, dyes etc. Been spot on for over a year now.

I purchased a kit from furniture clinic, added a filter to connect to an air compressor rather then using the can of propellant in the picture. The kit came with the air brush. Also added there Rolls Royce red self seal colourant for the stripe. Rubbed it down but removed the steering wheel and picked up a cheap 2nd mk4 golf steering wheel that was knackered to swap with. Then refurbed the mk4 one after all was done and made some money back.

Only thing i didnt do when doing the steering wheel was the red stiching, I masked it up and then blended the colourant close to it and then sealed it all in with the sealer. Used a thin modeling paint brush to apply the paint for the stripe.
I've since lost all the photos of the work I did but have attached the result on the mk4 wheel bottom part to the finish.

So it offers autolights and coming home lights. They were working correctly yesterday but this morning coming home lights arent working (it was still dark outside) so need to investigate that.

Caliper winder tool was a pain in the ass to use so took about 45 mins each side rather than the usual 15 minutes. 312mm upgrade on front next.

Also wet vacuumed my seats the other day.... oh dear is all I'm saying.

Never a good idea watching what comes out of the seats but well worth it, feels and looks so much better
