My Ko4 converted vRS BWA is still fine after a year and 2 months and HUGE mileage I have a spare ko4 engine but i wouldn't bother changing it unless i have problems.

This time of year forget it, even the TT can spin up a bit in 2nd with this weather.
Summer though completely different story, and a stage 2 plus cupra will be neck and neck with your old s4 if rolling from 30
No updates as of yet but someone could always eail backdraft alex and see how hes doing.
I would be interested to see how long a BWA 2.0T would last with no upgraded internals with double original power though especially if its pushing a similar ftlb torque wise
I would be very surprised if it would be neck and neck from 30. From 30 surely the Cupra would have problem putting the power down as the S4 pulls away. Maybe a rolling start from 50 or 60 would favour the Cupra?
Isn't it widely regarded that the stock internals can cope with a maximum of 450bhp? Should be ok on 400bhp right?

dont mistake the K03 TFSI and the K04 TFSI engines. the k04 varient has a lower compression ration, as well as stronger bottom end, thus is capable of good power. The k03 TFSI i would want to run above 350hp personally
I'm not confusing the two. I understand the difference between the two engines.
I am just quoting other people. A guy at Revo say they have several GT3071r cars running up to 450bhp on standard internals. I'm not saying that this is a good thing or that they will remain reliable, just that currently they are coping with that power.
Also JonnyC, who has vastly more experience with this engine than myself, has stated I'm sure more than once that the internals were designed to handle a maximum of 450bhp.
Admittedly, a GT3071r is less torquey than a K04... Maybe that is the problem??

3rd gear, 30mph and my cupra used to beat 400hp evos, neck and neck with a m6, 996 turbo and slightly behind a tuned cls 55 amg.
