I phoned them this afternoon, couldn't tell me anything, no build date etc and went on about chip shortage and Ukraine etc. I am now considering cancelling order (and getting a refund on admin fee) and looking for something else.
Was thinking about doing the same thing but cars since then have gone up so much so don’t think I’ll be able to get anything near the deal I got. Just gotta sit it out 😤

Just spoke with my dealer who has now confirmed a code 20 build week of 18, 2nd to 8th of May, for my VZ3 300 in Graphene Grey. Ordered Sept 4th.

Yeah I am in a dilemma also. Ordered TSI 245 Vz2 in Black in Nov, my current car lease ends in July. I may hold off a bit as have been on to my finance provider and they are now offering upto 180 days extension if I need it however don't want to leave it too long. To be honest there isn't much available either in stock or for delivery in a few months anyway.

Just had a phone call with my dealer and he provided me with an est. build week 30. Better than nothing but it seems that waiting time for me will be not less than year(order from aug 21)

My current lease is rolling and I’m 10k over the mileage….. not looking forward to seeing the bill for that. Would you believe it they’ve just emailed me and I’ve got a unconfirmed build date of week 21 - May 23rd. Yours shouldn’t be too far away now

Update from lease company. SEAT told them no SEAT Leon Hybrids will be built until November, so earliest delivery would be December, maybe Jan ‘23. They mentioned that my price would still be honoured if I kept the order open, then asked if I wanted to cancel…so I guess they would be able to sell the order to someone else at current prices for a nice big fat profit if I did! I’ll probably keep it unless I find something in stock to replace it with.

Got my first proper update. Estimated build week 18. If everything goes to plan, I should get it at the end of June.

Ordered in November from leasing options

Hi everybody

Belgian guy here. Ordered my Cupra Leon Sportstourer E-Hybrid on 31/09/2021 but still no info. Originally delivery time was 15/05/2022 but it is clear it is postponed. At this moment I have no info, and when I try to contact my dealer or the headquarter in Belgium the only reaction is: we have no clue when production will be.

I believe the hybrids are delayed indefinitely at the moment.

but only for Leon and Seat Tarraco then? Because when I check the RDW Data from the Netherlands, I see 28 Formentor Hybrids are arrived at the Netherlands only this month.
The data for Seat/Cupra Leon says there are 8 Leons registrated (2 cupra, 6 seat) this year. Last one was a Cupra, and registration was 3/3/2022.

I use this data from the Netherlands just to see if there is any production since no other country is so open with their data.

Yea, I only know for the Leon.

Some others in a Facebook group have had their cupra leon hybrids delayed to 2023.

When I don't get a correct and reasonable (max 2,5 month) delivery date at 15/06/2022 I'm going to cancel and search an import from Germany or see for a Formentor in stock (or max 1 year old with almost no mileage).

If I were you I'd not get used. They changed the infotainment hardware back in march iirc. It's significantly faster than the older unit. H58 compared to H56. Softwares better now but it's still painfull slow sometimes in my mk8 golf (2020yr so has H56)

Thanks for the tip! That's something I have to ask my bro in law when I decide to cancel. He is a technician for a group of leasing companies and gets all these kind of info about updates, upgrades and improvements. Unfortunately not the info about production and deliveries.

I reckon those hybrids delivered this month were probably built a few months ago before the war stopped hybrid production.

That's a possibility. Maybe they were just waiting at the parking lot for the chips. For that my former job was a better one. When I was working at the port of Antwerp as a dock worker, I could check production dates of cars while driving them on/off ship. I don't do that job anymore due to circumstances (my user name says it all...) so I can not check it anymore.

So its just as crazy over here then. I've had the 2016 and currently got the 2019 cupra on the lease direct through SEAT finance. The pricing for the MK4 wasn't as attractive and I couldn't spec the upgraded sound system I have on the 2019 so I looked elsewhere (what a mistake)

I ordered an M135i back in July 2021. That has still yet to arrive due to semiconductor shortage and the wiring harnesses that a supplied from the Ukraine.

Now I've accepted that prices are going to be higher regardless.

Seat keep contacting to ask what they can do for me and im still interested in the MK4 (300bhp) but doesn't look like I'll get one of those in a timely fashion either.

BMW is putting their semiconductors and wiring harnesses in the bigger cars I think. My father in law has ordered a BMW IX in january this year, and it will be produced in two or three weeks. Delivery is between july and september. And I think that's exactly the same with VAG. The goods they get are going to the more expensive cars and the cars for the common people are set back. As if we're not important enough. Porsche has deliveries within 8 months, Audi e-Tron RS is delivered in less than 6 months. The less expensive cars have a delivery time from "you'll see when it arrives".
