Yeh, half a tank done.
On the plus side, Im a tank half full type a guy lol

On the diesel I've heard you can get a tune that gives you better fuel economy and more horsepower too. I might be tempted...

I concur, PD150 been mapped to 195 and can normally get 55mpg on motorway runs @ 75-80mph

But surely the mileage per gallon figures can’t be trusted once mapped.
It doesn’t calculate for the additional fueling that’s been mapped in so if it states 40mpg etc it isn’t accurate y longer.
I don’t believe my trip computer any more.

Badger5 Custom Map + TIP,
3”Custom exhaust, FMIC, Bosh 550’s, BC Coilovers, ARB’s +loads more.

lancashire.
you get better fuel economy as the turbo kicks in at lower end and more used and helps less heavy load on engine, only really noticed on motorway when in 6th pottering I've had over 67mpg at one point just too see what i could get but its random you do get more than standard though, other than that I'm pretty heavy footed once car is upto temp that's around average 34-36 mpg urban.

When I was little, my dad had an Excel spreadsheet to calculate the actual MPG of the cars in our household.

I could run that for a while and see what my actual MPG is - if anyone's interested in paying for a remap and my fuel for six months.

I would have thought it could. If you disconnect the EGT sensor the ECU overfuels. You can watch the MPG in real time - if you stay at a steady speed it'll suddenly decrease, then go up, then go down again.
The trip computer is more guesswork because it comes up with a reading based on your MPG over the last few miles and assumes you'll carry on at the same consumption.

should of not done that wtf look new as well , is it a cheap one or branded ? lucky you looked and seen it , happened to me a few years ago
with the N57 the middle pipe looked odd i touched it and the dam pipe holder on the n57 broke off it looked glued as well.

this is worth keeping handy for pipe repairs https://www.screwfix.com/p/self-ama...leGuDFHfKjzSJUVgv6YaAntDEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
got it on a breather pipe and fuel pipe that's scuffed then used insulating tape over the top , good as new now lol

So, made a little bit of progress, played about with wiring a little but mostly did the R&D for the TT front suspension upgrade.

Of course I bought the wrong bushes for the job 🙄 (listing error on the manufacturer website and me not asking questions) so guess I'll be selling them at some point to fund the right ones.

Anyone fancy offset rear bushes for their cast arms? 🤣

When you say got got the wrong ones. Are they to small or to big..

There were a few red hoses on the car when i got it and i carried on the theme. Ive looked through my purchasing history for parts on this car and i cant find anything to say i bought it. But i cant be sure. It maybe something i brought or it may have been on the car when i got it.
Ive got a Forge one coming for it. Ive never (knowingly) bought cheap quality parts for my cars.
Not sure what make is on there. Ill take a look when i either A) Replace it B) Break down.

Here a pic of the emblem on it...

That looks like a Creations Motorsport one. I have a forge one too and there isn't alot of difference in them.
That failure mght have been caused by the hose being under tension. Take a look at my old post linked below. I found the hard pipe to DV connection too long a stretch when I installed a Badger 5 TIP. I ended up doing this - https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/what-have-you-done-to-your-car-today.323941/post-4970041

Great, thanks for the info.
I'll have a look at that. I didn't notice that it was under any tension. But if the new one is, ill do the mod you have done 👍

Im hoping itll hold together for a couple of days till the new one comes.
It looks like its just the outer coating thats come off so hopefully still structurally sound.
Will still take it easy though.

They're Mk1 TT/Cupra R ones and I was going to get them sleeved so they'd fit the Mk3 TT arms because Superpro didn't list them for that application.

Spoke to Superpro Europe and they confidently told me that the Mk7 Golf stuff will fit so ordered a full set.

So not wrong per se, more surplus to requirements

Took the back roads home from work, definitely got the setup right for wet weather 😁

Drivers door isn't quite so well set up for wet weather so damp feet on the drive😅 least I don't have any carpets to worry about
