Dont feel like your missing out bud.
The diesel is way more torquier.
I miss my cupra D. Had the 150 and got it remapped to 180hp. Could pull a house down.
I bought my R last February. The thing with it is, it doesn't really start to get lairy untill its past 2.5k rpm and in reality thats when you normally change gear.
Id does go absolutely ape sh!t above 3k lol but in normal use, it doesnt happen when popping to the shops if you know what i mean.
Id have another Cupra d in a heatbeat.

That's a relief... The torque in the TDI is what I've really come to love - pulls in pretty much any gear... I've not driven anything petrol in years but given how busy the roads are these days, handling is what does it for me - hence the current obsession with bushes.
When lock down ends I was thinking I might do a Leon mk1 get together at my workshop... get some drinks and a bbq going etc.
If Manic does the meet up I'll take you out in my TDI, see if the handling suits your taste (just got to refit the lower strut brace, change the upper strut brace n refresh the top mounts)
Well up for thisWhen lock down ends I was thinking I might do a Leon mk1 get together at my workshop... get some drinks and a bbq going etc.
