Ay she came outa the woodwork from many moons ago so stuffed her in there so our lass didn't find out. Plenty of water leaking in and im sure some biscuit crumbs made their way in there. She'll be reet... :clown:

After taking the best part of two days to replace my tie rods, I noticed this when I was putting everything back together.

I thought at first that the paint on the anti-roll bar was cracking, but I've had a bit of a feel and there definitely seems to be a bit of a kink there.

Is this anything I should be worried about? Thinking back, I had a crash about seven years ago, but it was on the other side, so it's possible it happened then, but in all honesty if it's lasted that long, it'll probably last a while longer too...

To be honest it does just look like the paint has cracked and gotten worse over time but If you get the tracking done and all is OK then I wouldn’t worry (they are pretty solid bars)

That's a relief - thanks for this. I can't say it feels any different to drive, so I'm hoping it stays that way. While it looks like I can get hold of a replacement pretty easily, it's the fitting that would be the biggest pain - the sort of thing that I'm guessing takes days to do with the car on axle stands or a couple of hours with a lift.

It looks to me as if it’s just the powder coating that cracking and the bar underneath is just going rusty it will be fine as they are think bars so noting to be to Concerned about. I would look to see how your Flexi pipe is and how bad it’s rubbed as it looks as if it’s rubbing on the anti roll bar

Thanks for this - I'll have a look tomorrow when they've got the wheels off for the alignment. I think there might be a gap, but you're right - I need to find out where that mark has come from.

They should not need the wheels off for the alignment but you should be able to see if there is any rubbing on the flex pipe

Was given loads of Chemical Guys cleaning products and 90% of them have been brilliant (and smell like you want to eat them :D) but the Interior detailer which at first looked good leaves white streaks if rain manages to get in through the window onto it.
Gave the interior a clean up with Halfords own Dash & Trim cleaner, heard it was good and for £4 worth a go. It's loads better and took off all the old residue from the Chemical Guys stuff.
