Once you unplug it the valve won't open. Basically you can leave it there or just take part of it off, it makes no difference, the sai will be dead. I did this to the last cupra I had and ran it for a long long time as when I sent of for the delete plate on eBay I forgot to add house number so never got one for it.Schweet I'll note this down for my SAI removal
I does bring up a code obviously but as far as I remember no engine light. I just did it now and no light but have the code. Last guy who had my car seems to have tried to remove it but when you try and pull it out its not that easy, you have to undo the front end of the car where the rad is to swing it up to make room so bumper has to come off to...he didn't do this and sort of left it there half in place. Also noticed the fan had a knocking sound yesterday....pops the bonnet to fine the power lead for the amp against it so as it rotates it make a worrying sound hahaha. Shat myself tbh as I only just got it and not really had much time to look at it.
