Quick one I did see it somehwere but struggling to find it again. Software is all updated on the mib2 but mirror link is now greyed out, How do I reactivate it.

Go to 5F, Adaptations, Vehicle Configuration, and scroll down to where it says something about Apple, Google and then Mirrorlink.

I have the pro edition but not sure if it's needed as I don't know what you can do with the standard one.

This is what I have following a long press on the menu button-

Hardware 5QA035858

Software MU 0241
Software version H25.14.33_STD2NAV_EU

Couldn't see a hardware version (e.g H24), where do I find that?

Go to settings menu then system information.

That's what I'm struggling to find, I have a 'menu' key and from there 'car' and 'setup' but no option in there that I can see for system information. I've already updated my maps so I know where the version info is for that. Am I being thick here?

If your screen is like this
Info screen.JPG

but not showing this view press the MENU button once to show a view similar to this then turn the 'Adjustment' button (12) until the 'Settings' function is shown and select it, this should give various options of which one should be 'system information'.

Thanks found it now, couldn't see it for looking!

So my details are:-

Device part no. 5QA035858
Hardware: H24
Software: 0241

Am I right in thinking I've a mib2 and can update using the Spanish site as per posts earlier on in this thread?

Do I need to purchase a tool to clear the error codes and if so what does everyone recommend?

Yes you have MIB2, I would recommend buying OBDeleven Pro but there may be someone nearby who could clear the error for you. You will need to update the software in stages, not sure what the next one would be after 0241.

Yep, as the post above says, you have a MIB2. I'm ready to upgrade mine, but have been waiting to find someone with an OBDeleven Pro.... just found out a friend at work has one! Just follow the Spanish site. Last time I looked, the links to the two update files showed a few errors, but keep going and you'll get to the 'download anyway' message.

Have a look at these two, they are two different videos for each upgrade stage:
