Can't be done by the user unless you have Mapcare or have the unit 'modified' as I did.I've got the MIB 2 High in my mk3 - apparently it uses a hard drive for mapping rather than SD cards. I've tried downloading the update from the SEAT site on an SD card, and putting the SD card into the slot in the glove box, and while the system knows it's there when I insert the card, it just can't update for some reason. Very confusing.

Select the Navigation screen then Setup - scroll down to Version info this will give you some details, try to post a pic.So what is mine then? The manual just says seat media system plus/ navi system
I believe retrofit is possible but would probably cost around £1000 or more.Bugger. So is there no retro fit option or adapter? I can live without it, but would be nice to have.
