Good luck receiving a car in uk less than 5 weeks after build.. or are they flying yours over? Lol
If SEAT work anything like VW do, I was told my Golf R was being built last week of October and I got a call on November 8th to arrange delivery for November 16th. So there’s hope

I just received a call from SEAT explaining why I don't have a build week and thought I'd share...

Is this yet another helping of misinformation...?!

So apparently my car has flagged as a MY19 and the WLTP testing data isn't available for it.
Due to this it won't be built until after that data has been received in week 42.

I asked about other Cupra's being built and it was suggested that they may not be MY19.

"facepalm"

Obviously at this stage I couldn't ask her to confirm that the others already being built weren't MY19.

I'd have thought it would have been more reasonable to assume that a Cupra with my particular spec hadn't been tested yet, whilst other configurations had - like @Liam suggested.

That would have been easier to believe.

I thought the main difference between my18 and my19 was going from 300 to 290 (apart from the option reductions to) does that mean that if mine is at port or on a boat that it could be a 300

That's all that's been published so far, plus the inclusion of metallic paint. Some have suggested the winter pack too for the UK.

As it's a run out model we were told not to expect much else.

A few CS staff have hinted at MY19 changes but none new what, and where probably basing it on previous.

@Damo7 - originally you were quoting week 42 for your copper changes long before we knew about week 42. Do you have any more insights?
Obviously production started at week 38.

When the factory reopened and started production again it was for MY19. There shouldn't have been anymore 300 fwd cars produced.

Obviously it would say on the order on the SLI which model year.

Can't imagine orders built from week 38 will be any different from mine built after week 42, when it arrives. It makes more sense that my spec is in the minority and has yet to go through testing.

I think the ONLY way we're going to know who has a 300 or 290 is to test it on a dyno.
I propose all the new owners meet somewhere in the middle of the country for a dyno day and see what Seat have really given us!

According to VW the its the back pressure in the new exhaust that reduces the BHP. They're actually giving this info to their Golf R customers...

Not fussed about the 10bhp anyway. Just as long as they don't mute the sound anymore.

I swear if I get in the car in the showroom when it gets delivered and it doesn’t at least make a nice growl from the exhaust I’m going to get out the car, get my toolbox out and perform a resonator delete right there and then.

Would anyone reject the car if it came now with an exhaust that makes it as quiet as the rest of the leon range???

I'd be tempted. For me they have changed the goal posts that much, a forced colour change, a forced power change, a massive delay. To get it with no exhaust note would probably be enough to just tell them to keep it.

I'd probably take it and just go to work on it, there's no other car I'd want

I'd like an m140i but I borrowed one for one day last week and i used half a tank in 90 miles so that wouldn't work for me haha

Id be very disappointed, but I also need a car. For the price this is costing I'm not sure what else I would replace it with
