Another failed call back from Raheel. Once I willing to forgive, but twice is completely out of order, especially when I told him to ring me even if there wasn't anything to update me on.

I'm currently on hold to Seat UK now to see if I might be able to escalate this to someone higher, because reading through some replies here it doesn't appear that Raheel is able to help with any of this.

EDIT: So hah the line put me on hold but apparently the offices are closed. Nice one SEAT. I'm going to give them a very moody call tomorrow morning

Im dealing with Dominic who is helpful. Fortnightly updates regardless of whether any changes. Ask for him

Cupra 300 SPT/CPE 2.0TSI CUPRA 300 DSG – Camera Pack, Metallic Black Paint
- Ordered:27th October
- Current production week 05 2018
- Car at dealer approx 4 weeks after this

New Order placed 30th October on pch.
Cupra Nevada White 5dr, manual, pan roof, acc, seat sound, camera pack, winter pack, blade skirts.
Unconfirmed build week. Both the dealer and VWFS have said to expect April delivery.

Current lease extended by 3 months. After 3 months they will extend my current lease indefinitely until the new car arrives.

They have formally agreed to extend my existing lease based on the condition that I have an order placed with them and it's in their system.

My current extension is based on my current rate which was reduced by £100 per month due my last milage amendment. I was under significantly. It's actually worked out pretty well, although a long wait I'm not paying much for current Cupra. It actually allowed me to select a few more options.

Only sore point is that I'll miss out on the virtual cockpit.

I found out the hard way that any changes (options) made to a new order placed on pch after it's been submitted results in a cancellation and a new order needing re submitting.

This obviously increases the wait..

According to the new Nov brochure, virtual cockpit is now standard on the Cupra - not sure from what build week though, but must be long before April :funk:

Not an option on any other model though

Great news!!! Think it’s fairly safe to assume cars arriving April onwards are likely to include it!

seriously?? I saw it on the German configurator but it's chargeable even on the Cupra.
I've not seen the November brochure where can I find it?

Thanks

Mind me asking what price you got for your PCH deal for the GTE? And with how many miles?

Not at all mate.

Went for a GTE Advance in Ruby Black with no options (good spec anyway..) on a 9 + 23 deal @ 5K miles.
Paying £2041 deposit and £226 pm via Lookers in Preston with no fees to pay.

They had a cancelled order in Indium Grey available in December but would have been £570 extra over contract and we quite like the no cost Ruby Black and don't mind waiting tbh..

I think the virtual/digital cockpit that's standard on new Cupras now is called Active Info Display on VWs and was on the Golf GTE we demo'd.

It's a fantastic upgrade to traditional dials and puts your sat nav maps front and centre between your dials and has loads of customisation available. Its a great system and one of the reasons we went for the Golf in the end.

Shame Seat are only putting it on Cupras for now but I'm sure it won't take long to filter down to other models, maybe at least as an option.

Yes it is the same. The Audi got it first as the "virtual cockpit".
I think the GTI and the R get active info as standard too.

I noticed that the Audi version has satellite view maps. Haven't seen it on the golf or seat variant.

A couple more years and Active display or Virtual Cockpit will be standard on many cars. As mass produced, it is a cheaper option to mass produce a display than the manufacturing of mechanical dials. For now it is a USP for a few halo models...

Mechanical dials will then be a 'retro' option

Astute observation. It's getting very difficult to find a new car with a decent cassette player.

I might be saying i am happy with later build week if i get digital cockpit as standard. Someone mentioned week 2 as the time when the changes are implemented

Ordered mine 9th September and have rang Seat UK twice now for updates and both times they have told me Unconfirmed Build Week 2, so im getting some consistency atleast.

Was told by dealer March, so looks like it will be there abouts or before.

Spoke to SEAT again. Still unconfirmed build Week 2, with estimated delivery in February. Way over the original estimate given when the car was ordered, however at least we seem to agree that the car should be with me Week 3 at the latest if it's going to be within their estimate.

Given that the build week is currently 2, Seat agrees that the car will be delivered late, but insists that they won't talk about goodwill gestures until the car is delivered or they know the exact delay.

I have given them two choices - either get the car built on time, or put in writing to me the goodwill gesture they will give if the car is late (before I accept delivery).

If they need to know the delay, that would suggest they have a sliding scale of how much goodwill they can offer depending on the delay. I said if that's the case, send me an email with what you will give me for every week it is delayed. He didn't like that and dodged answering it lol

I wanted to escalate the case today but Raheel said he is the manager for the team, his manager is not a customer facing role. Because his manager is not in today, I have told him to speak to them tomorrow and call me back before 17:30. Third time lucky?

What was the expected delivery date given when ordering?

23 to 25 weeks.

The 25th week is Week 3 (Jan)
