This order situation hasn't impressed me so made the decision to go for a blinding lease deal on a VW Golf GTE hybrid instead of another Leon. Blown away by the test drive as car was virtually silent but rapid and so much clever tech on offer in those Golfs.
It will be something different as well rather than just changing the car for the sake of a new one. Most of our mileage is short town journeys so should save a bit on fuel using the EV only mode.
So defecting to the Vee Dub forums for a while but will have the car for a couple of years then see what Seat are offering in the hybrid/ev sector next time round.

Just an update on my order. As previously stated on here, I was told by SEAT Customer Services on 11th October that my Confirmed Build Week was week 45 (w/c 6th Nov). So, just to make sure everything was going to plan, I phoned them up again today, only to be told that there is NO CONFIRMED BUILD WEEK for my car! What on earth are they playing at?!

Tom at the Executive Office has been dealing with my complaint, and has so far offered me a free service for the inconvenience. I am expecting a call back from him on Wednesday...but in light of this news, I suspect it could be a very interesting phone call...

As previously stated, my dealer is remaining completely silent on the matter...

Beyond a joke now.

I wonder if the Catalonia crisis is starting to bite properly now. Interesting times if they have longer waits than they do now

What is the Executive Office? Is this a level above Customer Support and how did you get in touch with them?

Its a good car and a good buy as the popularity of hybrids grow - think of yourself as moving away from Richard Hammond to a Richard Hammond wearing a mask and carrying a tad extra body weight to look like Jeremy Clarkson .

At least you will get the car much, much quicker than ordering a Leon :censored:

I'm in the same situation, told by both the dealer & Seat UK that the build week was confirmed at Week 3 (still waaaaaaay too late) but now my most recent conversation... it's unconfirmed again!

They also said delivery would be week 10 (unconfirmed) - 7 weeks for delivery??

I'm also interested in this guy at the Executive Office - when SEAT call me tomorrow (and they better call me) I might look at escalating it if they don't tell me what I want to hear. I also think a free service is terrible compensation for these sorts of delays.

I think it must be. He got in touch with me after I expressed my displeasure on Twitter haha. He’s been pretty helpful so far to be honest.

Spoke to Raheel again today.

He hasn’t been much use I’m not going to lie. He didn’t call back on Friday as promised despite me calling in twice and being told he’d call back. It got to 4pm today and I rang and got put through to him.

“I was literally just dialling your number” - yeah right.

I’m now week 51 with delivery before the end of January.

He said he’d spoken to my dealer, Perry’s SEAT Aylesbury, and that they told him I was told it would take this long. This angered me as I definitely wasn’t and either Raheel was lying or the dealer are lying to him. I pulled the email up, I was told by the end of December.

I asked him about extending my current PCP, he doesn’t know if I can, told me to ring the dealer and ask, then told me to ring VWFS. I ring VWFS and they tell me to ring the dealer. No doubt when I ring the dealer they’ll probably tell me to ring Dominos or something.

I’m at my wits end now, just going to see what happens.

This is ridiculous. I nearly ordered my Cupra through SEAT Aylesbury and glad I didn’t with seeing how you’ve been treated. My dealer have been pretty straight up with me. Still hasn’t made the car arrive any quicker though.

Oh and I genuinely believe they make the build weeks up each time you call them!

Would not surprise me!

Is your build week 51 now actually confirmed?

And considering that you likely won’t get delivery until late Jan, how does this compare to the estimate you were given when you ordered?

For what it's worth when vwfs rang a few weeks back to find out what my thoughts were about leasing another seat I was advised that due to long wait times of seat factory orders vwfs would extend my lease indefinitely if ordering a new seat or would be willing to extend by 3 months if I flew from the seat nest so to speak. My deal through vwfs is a pch.

They were great up until the member of staff who I ordered through left now. Now I never hear from them and if I ask for an update I'm made to feel like I'm pestering them, hence why I just call SEAT now.

This was my favoute line "I appreciate that the lead time is longer than you would wish for however it is unchanged from the original projection; likewise, I cannot legislate for differing information provided to each of us however I am satisfied that there is no conspiracy!"

Would not surprise me!

Nope. Still unconfirmed. I was originally told mid October then I was by the end of December. I've got the emails to prove it and I'd upload the screenshots if I could figure out how.

That's good to know. Thank you! I'll look into that.

Raheel says there is a conspiracy! But it's being plotted in Madrid! :w4nk:
The freedom-loving Catalan workers are too busy digging trenches and filling sandbags to spend any time on car production! :flag:

Nice one @Jezyg !

Did the pch deal and ordered today direct with a VW dealer (best price and no fees).
Already been given prov build of week 5 2018 with likely delivery of early March, spot on for an 18 plate, which is a bonus..!

Good luck to the rest of you with your Leon orders and hope Seat get their act together soon.

This whole saga is worth sending to Watchdog or Autoexpress, enough evidence on here alone to show, now one is either taking it seriously/ownership and just passing the buck.

I cannot see it being that hard for SEAT UK to arrange with VWFS to extend PCP/PCH as and when required. TBH this needs escalating to the head of SEAT UK and this thread being used as evidence [B)]

Total lack of any form of customer service, its like dealing with a very dodgy second hand dealer, with lip service hoping you will shut up and go away... [:@]

Cupra 300 SPT/CPE 2.0TSI CUPRA 300 DSG – Camera Pack, Metallic Black Paint
- Ordered:27th October
- Current production week 05 2018
- Car at dealer approx 4 weeks after this

I ordered a 1.2TSi SE Dynamic, to be part of the 'Bobby Base Club' and have been told unconfirmed week 9???? No wait on anything with that model of Leon as far as I know.

You ordered later and 4 weeks ahead build wise - as others have said there is no sense as to why some orders are coming through quicker than others, unless it is cars already on order and have spec changes

This is a bigger mess than Brexit negotiations or Teresa May's handbag...

Mind me asking what price you got for your PCH deal for the GTE? And with how many miles?
