what have you done to your car today ?

Its more what my car did to me today. Took it to have a stage 1 re-map and Nicki plugged it in, told me my cam belt timing was out, lifted the car on the ramp, saw a cracked manifold, smoke tested it and had some leaking issues.
SO, its now with Rich at DynoDaze, having the manifold replaced, the cambelt adjusted(if possible) Oil service and doing the N149 bypass, EGR delete and N112(I hink that's right) delete.
Silver lining and all, I thought it was still quite a nice drive with all these bits wrong. How happy am I gonna be when its all up and running properly and remapped!

ect and thermostat

Well today I tackled a job that I have been putting off for a week or so, the eml came on a couple of weeks ago and the temp guage is all over the place so I ordered a new sensor and thermostat from seat. The ect sensor was easy just a couple of minutes and that was done, the thermostat on the other hand took a little longer, my first problem was getting the plastic cover off the metal plate, I ended up drilling the 2 screws out and then when removing the metal plate my dipstick tube snapped. With these bits out of the way I could see the thermostat housing mmmm not that easy to get to the bottom bolt but after an assortment of extensions and universal joints I managed to get the job done. My car warms up really quick now and runs really well. It only took about half a litre of g12 so all in it cost me about £60 in parts.[email protected]

Drove to work ordered thermostat and code reader. Saturday will be change thermostat and coolant and reset eml

Removed rubber blanking plate from boot, fitted rear wiper motor, fitted skoda fabia rear wiper and went to seat dealer to order all the clips I broke removing boot panel.

I removed a gearbox from my mates golf 1.8t yesterday. When I removed the dogmount bolts from the gearbox gear oil dripped out the hole. The box was completely ruined.
