I've had this in place for about 6 weeks now and it's so much better than standard. My only gripe is that I occasionally get the EML show up due to SAI incorrect flow. I've got an idea for a workaround, but want to test it first before posting it up. I could always perform a SAI delete and get it mapped out - but that would require funds... :(

If you still want your sai to have a feed can always T of the fpr and that way will still have a flow.

I will try unplugging the pump and see what happens,
I have followed your instructions to a t, and blocked that one pipe with a screw as you did.
before the n249 bypass tho i had no problems with the sai pump making that noise, so has cutting that line and blocking it made that come?
it was never that loud before so just wanted to know why its so loud now...

My plan was to T off the fpr line but still use the sai valve next to 249. Your idea sounded like a simplified option so I've put a T directly from the fpr nipple on Mani to the sai hard line and will keep an eye on it.

All this tells me I should have bought a LCR :)

DannyJigg.. i put a t off the dumpvalve line to the inlet manifold onto the sai hard line, which in this guide is the one you put your screw into, however i still get that noise in the morning...

My Leon has a half-arsed version of this bypass done, with the dump valve top-hose still connected to the solid pipe, and the black box pipe blocked off with a bolt. I get troubles with judder when pulling away, and the dump valve seems to be a bit hyperactive dumping on low revs. Do you think if I do the mod as you have instructed will sort it?
I'm also getting an EML on the dash which is related to the secondary pump, so that will be next on my list.
I've just ordered some new vacuum pipe and will start again going off your guide, thanks for the great how-to!

Done this bypass a little while go copying your guide word for word. Ever since I keep getting p0411 secondary air injection incorrect flow detected. I see other people also have the same problem. What's the way round this? My lights never been on before I done this and it's starting to really piss me off. Hope someone can help, cheers nathan

Done mine as the guide says, what a pain those pipe clamps are!! Most of my time was spent just getting them off. Anyway will let you know how it gets on, now just waiting for a decent SAI removal guide.

I was looking to do this on my 210 AMK Cupra R but also found this thread: -

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=215866&highlight=n249+bypass+guide+LCR

There is a lot less going on in that guide. Is it a case of a different method or that the R doesnt have all the parts on the bracket you show on the Cupra?

If its an improvement, which most seem to agree, why did seat fit all these parts in the first place? I couldnt see an answer to that one?
