I can't put pictures up as I need 15 posts. The only thing I did differently was instead of run a new vac line from the top of the DV to the inlet I left the original pipe and ran a pipe from under inlet to metal pipe. so basically the same unless that metal pipe runs anywhere else?

Sorted it!! I somehow blew a fuse when unplugging stuff. For future reference it was fuse no.43 (red 10 amp) if the same should happen to anyone else.

Thanks for the guide

Hmm done this to my standard BAM'd LCR and reversed it shortly after.

Flutter noise galore and tbh I didn't really notice any difference, perhaps less low down punch if anything.

Before I go cutting pipes and ripping them all out, could I cut the one vac line to the SAI valve and block it as per your guide, take the pipe from all the crap to mani off and block it, then run DV straight to mani?

I'm thinking that it will achieve the same end result without taking too much off, If it starts putting the EML on, I can put it back to standard easy?

Thoughts please

I have just done this and have a couple of questions

Firstly is it likely that I cracked the dipstik pipe putting it back together?

And is it right that I dont get the dv tishhh. Now all I get is the wg chatter?

A week after doing the engine managment light has started coming on not affecting the drive but on none the less the first time I ordered a reader/clearer and after a few days of driving with the light on I recieved it and cleared the fault then a few days later it came back on and I read the codes one isnt listed in my book and the other said s,a,i wrong direction so I cleared them then a few days later its come back on saying 3 faults with I haven't yet read but I have noted them down and cleared them today. Any ideas or just ignore them and keep clearing them

Hi mc_funbot,

I did this n249 bypass on my leon cupra and to be honest was very easy and worked a dream, however now my car is throwing up the p0411 fault code which is for the sai.

Why is it doing that? have i done something wrong? As when i start up in the morning from cold it sounds like a vacuum and is really annoying!!

I've had this in place for about 6 weeks now and it's so much better than standard. My only gripe is that I occasionally get the EML show up due to SAI incorrect flow. I've got an idea for a workaround, but want to test it first before posting it up. I could always perform a SAI delete and get it mapped out - but that would require funds... :(

That hoover sounding thing is your sai pump they run 60-90 secs then shut of its to warm your cat up. This has never affected any I have done. Some times the pump being loud is normaly due to the pump cracking. You could always unplug the pump an see how it goes... everything is taken of the n249-n112 no loose lines. You blocked of the bottom line? Hope this helps
