Hi All!

After the death of my Toyota Avensis, I grabbed an Altea XL TDI 2.0 on a 2009 plate in a hurry. I've always been a VW man from a VW family and really like the car. So rather than use it as an interim as originally planned, I'm trying to fix all the issues to keep it longer term.

I've always joined forums, groups and owners clubs for the cars I've had. From VW Polo, Volvo V40 to the Avensis. Try to give back as well as grab advice. Hoping to do the same here.

The car has two issues I could do with help with. I've purchased the Haynes Autofix manual, which is crap. Recommendations on decent alternatives welcome!

Welcome to SCN, try searching/posting in the Altea threads of the SEAT car forums for more help as not all members read this newbies section, good luck in finding more help.

Sad to report that she failed her MOT. Which is crying shame. I love the car.

Tie rod ends, lower ball joints, drop links, one spring and a tyre. I'd do it if I had the time.

But with the list of things I'd been working through and then this on top, it doesn't work for our needs right now.

Short lived as it is, 99% certain she's got to go.
