Don't worry I haven't finished setting the ride height haha

And the camber is unreal with the wide track arms on, bit hard to capture in picture but in person it's mental. Any way here's a pic (still needs tracking doing tho)

Once tracked and bergs car is sorted I'm sure we'll take the DSLR's out

Oh the steering is soooo heavy haha think my momo team 280mm isn't helping haha but think its down to the wide track and manual rack together.

I love camber! Used to have a mk1 mx5, decked on bbs with huge camber. Loved it.

Speaking of steering wheels, ive just ordered myself a cheap 300mm and boss :)

I could probably do with a smaller steering wheel in my cordoba. It has a standard leather one from a 2 ltr 16v cordoba and with the cobra Daytona bucket seats in it I keep clubbing my knees with my hands when driving with a bit of gusto, no good for back road staging. I'm 6' 2 and 1/2" and shrinking. :)

I loved my 280mm but in the end I liked being able to see the clocks too much haha.

Very good progress though, front camber is mad!

I love my 280mm too looking forward to giving it a proper go next week :)

I struggle with the same thing as I'm tall and have a dodgey need lol so I've always had a small steering wheel lol helps loads

Whats the feedback on the manual steering so far bud?

Haven't driven it since mucka. As the weather was nice borrowed a 13 plate SLK and booked a b&b in Great Yarmouth for the weekend so be back on it tomoz to adjust the height and ill adjust the tracking abit my self.

are you running standard top mounts?

ATM no, but I have some Compbrake top mounts but need to modify the turret and need to get my coiles rebuilt. Would like some top mounts like Dave_R has fitted to his track kiwi Mk2 gti but can't find any for the mk3s

So you did it then went non power steering. Best get down the gym lol. Thing with power steering is reaction times to the ohhshit moments lol. Still after cruising the rs turbo for a few weeks you do get the feel again for non power steering brings the memories from back in the day.

Tonight I finially got round to setting the height on the Cupra although it was abit dark and now it's settles needs tweaking slightly.

Rear coiles with uprated 500ftlb springs

I also removed all the pas stuff bar the one metal pipe the goes from the pas bottle to pump and is bolted to the front cross member. Couldn't get this off as my rad being moved back was stopping me :(

Was fiddly to get it out all the pipes in one piece but got there In the end.

Also adjusted the tracking as it was way out. Made measure and cut up some wood to get both sides the same haha. Worked ok but of course it's getting done properly soon

I finially got to drive the car hard tonight. Car is completely different with no pas it's such a handful really needs wrestling about which is hard work but rewarding :) feels like I'm actually in control and can feel what's happen a lot more.
I hadn't driven its since my Nurburg trip and I've really missed it I was smiling ear to ear felt so quick compared to my van haha

I've also started prepping for next years NurburgRing trip as it will be a day longer so more time for more laps and to learn the track :)
