I had an 'incident' with a shorted out battery on the car  was utter stupidity, managed to fry the fuel pump relay, but luckily I had one laying around. So have finally had the car run up to full tenp, fans cane on, and everything was lovely. So i decided to give the car a clean, using the patented dirty old fishing bucket and green sponge thing method

I used some wash and wax that I found next to my neighbours bin. Remember to always clean your wheels with the sponge first, getting grit on the sponge acts as polish, so you won't have to do that later. Don worry if you don't get all the mud off, what ever you miss you can rub off with the chamois leather after. Then apply liberal amounts of tyre shine to take the attention away from all the bits you missed. Et voilla, instant show shine in 8 mins.

Yes i work for stagecoach!

Sorry about the slow progress for a while on this, but progress has been that slow. I have been very busy with work for the last half year or so, working away, and just not had the motivation (code for misses would have kicked me out).

So when i last left the car, i had just got it running, after reading the fault codes, i found out i had a missfire, open circuit to injector 1. To get to the injector/wiring, the whole inlet manifold needs to come off, which means the front end of the car needs to come back off. It was at thi point i did the whole, ''ohhh fark this'' threw my tools in the car and left them to go rusty. Its only this recent bout of sunny weather that has prompted me to get going again.

When i left it i also did not have the lambda's wired in, i started to wire them all in from scratch, but with terminals on each, with two twisted pairs, and 4 of the bloody things. My plan was to just wire in the front two, and get the rears mapped out. But no one eer wants to map anything out without giving you their crappy £400 remap at the same time. I quickly also gave up on that idea, and salvaged half a wiring loom fro a 2.8 4motion, and fitted that in on friday, and i will now be fitting a rear set of lambdas and doing it properly. The loom still needs a little modification before it will run, but about to build up the motivation to go do that now.

Future Plans: I have ordered a powersteering pipe i need to get that all plumbed in. Got a load of cable and stuff t fit the battery somewhere. Still not sure where to put it, and i previously had some voltage problems with the battery in the boot. Although the battery i was using wasn't ahemm, strictly designed for cars. I was thinking behind the pax seat, but not really MOT friendly. So i will probably just put it in the boot, but use the minimum wiring i can get away with.

The exhaust will be my next 'big' task. My cat finishes just after the central mount, and i don't know where to go from there. Sur i could just stick it in powerflow etc, but would rather do that at a later date, and just get it running now. I was thinking about getting some sort of cupra backbox and just modding that to fit. If i can find one that is around 2.5? Anyone have any suggestions.

Also, few people have asked about r32 conversions, or 2.8 conversions. If anyone would be interested in me writing up a guide of how to fit, and mainly how to wire it in, i wouldn't mind. But i'm not going to do it without the want!
