He had rubbish trade in on his 2 year old Corsa, got like £5000 for it.... He's spent over £40000 on Corsa's once this one's paid haha! He's only 24 too! It's full leather I think, but no nav, It was a display model.... curbed 2 wheels the week he got it! Then a gardner using a strimmer put his rear window through lol. It is a nice car, but only just dicked me coming off a roundabout, both in 3rd and this was before mine was mapped, and it's a tdi! He paid way too much... We got one at local dealer as pre reg for 18k in chilli orange... Doesn't sound like he had alot of luck lol... You have the dirty diesel toque yer that's my Corsa B with old exhaust when it was first built in 2010....

Little update I wrote a "How to fit M tech short shifter" when I fitted one to a friends car so I thought it was about time I fitted mine...

They are so nice, the only thing that i personally dislike is the colour of the calipers. I just don't think it fits into the theme of the car. Main thing is you're happy with it though. Any plans for the engine?

Agree about brakes, early ones had the red brakes to match the R but later ones have blue brakes... Weird! As for engine plan is to fit de cat, con rods and pistons but that's it more of a safety feature... Don't want to ruin it...

2013 rebuild has started

Been to pick up my engine bits from SteveBoySlim today...

Work thats been done:

Block decked
Over bored to 87mm
Front pulley, crank, flywheel and clutch cover balanced
New omega pistons
Arrow rods
bearings etc...

Head is to follow shortly spec will be listed then...

Had Nortech make me some inserts as i'm on type 1 engines mounts and there isn't any solid mounts on the market

Little update

First job was to check the piston ring end gaps

Built up the arrow rods and omega pistons then fitted

All built up and fitted in place

I have changed to multi ribbed belt setup this year, bought this cheap...

Change of tyres to Toyo R888, may only use these up and go for AD08's

All built up as far as I can go until head here, shafts in etc

The engine mounts seem alot better

Little update, A friend pointed out I did an novice mistake and fitted pistons 180deg out... cut outs are larger for inlet... easy to see when pointed out but werid part is the writing is now upside down... Anyway sump off and swapped them around... Job done...

Yer I'm glad risk you take building it yourself tbh... Shocked I missed it TBH was to busy checking end gaps making sure it was all right and completely missed this All sorted now, hopefully running in next 2 weeks

Got my manifold, tial external gate and external pipe back from Zircotec today, went for performance White... Really happy with the finish..

Got my order from Opie oils through too

Gearbox oil

Running in oil x2

General oil x 3

what is zircotec or the treatment the manifold etc has had is it just a thermo treatment to help it all deal with the heat better looks cool either way.
