I've got some meg tyre gel so i'll give it a blast :), is it best to apply it before you wash the car incase you get any on the bonnet?

I use the Megs tyre gel. I find it lasts a bit longer if you give the tyre a quick clean down (just after you've washed the rest of the car). I always use the tyre gel and alloy wheel sealant on my wheels after I've washed and sorted the rest of the car.

Picked my car up from Amd Essex this morning after having a loba-Sachs smf and clutch kit fitted.
1st impressions are good, very slight chatter at idle but hardly noticeable. Get most chatter on over run at around 3k revs but with radio on u cant hear it. So, so far so good, and the gear changes are great with such a positive clutch engagement.

I'm assuming the lester rear diffuser doesn't fit cars with a btcc kit as its not removable?

Got my rear lights on the bodywork of the drivers side sorted out. Wasn't a bad earth or anything like that, it was the lense. Seat Huddersfield happily ordered a new unit and replaced it - all fixed, although I now feel like the new one is brighter than the other one!!!!

Whilst there, my car got parked next to this - thought it was an Ibiza to start with until I realised it was too big...

You know what.. the Mk3 next to the Mk2 looks like an Ibiza or an Audi.. it just doesn't have the features of a Leon to it. To be honest with you, I'd go for the Mk2 any day with the exception of the interior, which is of course much better on the Mk3.

My thoughts exactly.

Roll on the MK3 Cupra R for better exterior looks.

Agreed. As I said I wasn't comparing like-4-like. Basically the top end version of the mk2 against the bog standard mk3. Although I did notice a few similarities with the lines of each car - just take a look at the side windows and how they're shaped, the rear bumpers, where the bonnet meets the fender, etc. Very similar in design, just very 'square' on the mk3.
