Got the facelift bumper on properly, washed and waxed, fixed the N/S front door seal and swapped the sidelights over to a set of superbright one :)

Took my Car up to Mij Exhausts in Wasall to hopefully get the backbox removed with a straight pipe with a cupra R tip to be quoted £150 +vat. errr no thanks as i swear other have had this done cheaper.

I was looking at getting this done and they are the only company that do the kind of tip that I'm after, had thought about going there to get it done but not if that's what they're charging!

Have nearly stripped my carriers down ready for big brakes, just need a little bit more rust taking off and then painting ready to go on!

Bar-stewards!
i hate the people that key cars through jealousy (or at all!)
some 'orrible person did it to my audi a4 last year, why?!

Today, i Cleaned camshafts, under camshafts, sump,(about half inch of gunk)
(maybe that has something to do with the 6 year gap in the service book...) replaced oil pick up/strainer, oil filter, re sealed sump, new cam cover gasket, removed bonnet liner.

boy is it noisy now! Haha
If you like dv noise, it's a must!

Exhaust fitted today, quite happy with it but the 3inch single pipe looks a bit small :(

Easy enough mate, get a new gasket from GSF first though mate, only a tenner+vat, the only tricky bit is that it doesn't come off (mine didn't) unless you bend one of the (I think) metal
vac/ breather pipes to the back right of the cover.

I didn't know where to start with the gunk, I used an oil extraction (pump up vacuum) thing... And when it did its thing, I loosened the rest with a screw driver, tried to not drop anything,, then poured a little oil over it, extracted that (to pick up the last few bits) and I did the sump after for good measure,
(Three holes in the back of the head go down to the sump)
Hopefully yours isn't as bad, I shoulda checked service history before I bought her! (Some mechanic I am lol!)
Any more info, just ask:)
