How a car "feels" after being remapped can also vary a fair bit, depending on who's tuned it.

PD150... going to be fairly consistent... and gains should be felt, not perceived....
I think something up with this car from how its being described personally.

Are you anywhere near somerset as I see you've put it's an hour away from you (about the same for me). I have an SPS with Revo SPS+ software and could plug it in to see what your settings are if you want, if they're posted on here I'm sure someone with similar would tell you what they're running and if it sounds about right to them.

I'm in Torquay with sps didn't realise it pulled the settings off, just uploaded new ones?
I have never used mine lol

Depends which version of the SPS you have, if it's the latest version or the SPS+, it'll work the software that's available from Revo site, if it's the 1st, 2nd and I think 3rd version (definitely 1st and 2nd) it won't work.

Yes, but thats why I specified how it "feels", because although gains may be fairly consistent, delivery can vary dependant on who's tuned it, some software will be more aggressive and some more progressive. Either way, I agree there's a problem...

Should work fine as that's what I have, and all you'll need (apart from the software) is a computer printer lead to connect it to your laptop/pc. There's also a manual there to download if anyone's unsure what to do, how to do it, what the "safe" levels are and what to log after each tweak.

So using the sps we can read to see what the map is changing....eg more fuel over standard?

It can read what settings you are at now apparently, and put it to back to stock. Whether that can help bill or not?

It'll tell you what your map is set at now, and depending on your engine reliablity you can raise or lower the timing and boost to suit. My LC 1.8T stage 1 was set to boost 6, timing 4 when it left the garage, now running boost 8, timing 5 and going much better. If you play with the settings keep an eye on how much your timing is being pulled back by the ECU via Vagcom (block 020 for pertol), think they suggest no more than 3.0 in the manual

Not sure what the difference is between stage 1 and 2 (obviously more power lol) what I mean is I'm not sure if stage 2 is written differently, as I very much doubt my stage 1 boost 8 is the same as yours.

I would imagine it's stage 1 = 0 - 9, then stage 2 = 0 - 9 are more aggresive settings. Anyone got any idea's if I'm somewhere near with that ?
