I still need to fit new fuel filter to eliminate that from equation, then if your free lee we could read my map to see what its adjusting....then logging on vagcom to see if the cars doing as should to pin point whats holding it back.

Iv got a theory that maybe i may have 'chocolate cams' and due to worn cam lobes either im not getting full injection pressure or the valves arent opening fully. I hope thats not the case as im only on 60k with correct oil used. But if logging doesnt find anything im going to wip off the rocker cover to inspect cam.

It does seem more powerful, and seems to run smooth, but acording to the dyno its way off what it should be.

Thanks for your help so far guys, you all deserve a gold star on your sticker board!!!

By different file you mean for the sps? So we will need to download a different file for it to work with my car?
Does the sps plug in to the car or to the laptop?

Just found that thread......is it true that the full power from the map takes a while to adapt? So a rolling road straight after is useless.

I haven't read that thread but to answer your question I would say yes as that is what happened after my remap, I wasn't impressed with it TBH, fair enough it was quicker but after a couple of hundred miles it was a totally different car.

I thought it should be almost instant gains.....hopefully get the sps plugged in soon, perhaps the garage mapped it really low/tame, would a really tame map give minimal gains on rr?

Bill, do you know what the sps should read for stage 1 revod pd150 with standard intake/ exhaust etc, or what settings would be reccommended?

The diesel files are generic and unajustable so every pd150 stage one file will be the same, the tuner has no way of adjusting the file at all.

The SPS only has the function to activate or deactivate the software not manipulate it.

I also agree will bill on the standard figures, even REVO will vouch that a large percentage of PD 150s produce 160+ stock which indicates an issue with your car, low compression maybe the case but the reason - who knows?

The REVO maps for this engine are impeccably good so any chance of a "bad file" is out of the question.

I paid around £330 for map and rolling road.....got an offer on the map and had zero vat on the map.

New fuel filter fitted and injector cleaner currently in, cant say iv noticed a difference but havent been for a blast.

One thing i have noticed i get no smoke when flooring it, before the map i would leave a bit of a black smoke trail. Is that because the map is more efficient with injection OR am i not getting full injection after the map due to limits on a sensor? Iv mapped 003 008 and 011.....is there another block to log about injection quantity and timing?

Dont think the fuel filter has made too much diff, maybe a little but thats prob in my head. Im going to strip and clean egr valve and intake manifold to see if that helps.

Hi,

What is your actual vs requested boost? I really cant remember what blocks that is as its been a while but you need to log 4, 8 and 11. It will also give an indication on how healthy your MAF is. As far as your concerned when was the last time is was replaced? Also when was the last time you cleaned your EGR valve? If your EGR valve is clogged up then I would say your intake my also be clogged up. All depends on what type of fuel you have been using and anyone else who has been using in the past.

Have you checked properly for boost leaks? When I mean properly, the inlet and outlet of the FMIC and outlet of the turbo to the pancake pipe.

Post your logs up on here so I can have a look.

The logs are post #19 on page 1.....maff seems fine, actual boost meets req boost. Also aparently the iq limits is done by maff (so some one said?)

Mileage is 60k and im not aware of egr valve and intake being cleaned.....so a good clean con only help.

Im sure its not getting enough fuel, i dont get any black smoke when booting it......whereas before map it chucked a bit of smoke.

We just need eliminate those first as they are the most common especially when logs dont really tell us anything. [edit to clarify, logs look good, duty cycle is ok].

Another thing i want to log is the timing.....iv read the guide about checking and adjusting the timing.....reccommended after cam belt change.....the guy who i bought it off a few years ago changed it hinself.....he wasnt a vag specialist.....if the timing was slightly out would that affect the power?
