I also found a set of Mk4 aero wipers arms on eBay in the week for a pretty reasonable price.
They need a bit of a clean up and a fresh coat of paint, the blades look in pretty good nick so I'll see how well the work before replacing them.

Car looked good today mate, even if you said it was dirty, it's at a very high show standard now. Just needs new shoes and it'll get the awards it deserves!

Thanks for helping out with the aero wipers... Got there in the end with the TED Tuning touch. They look really good and made a great impact on your car especially coming from the original wiper arms. Good move spotting them for sale.

That DA needs to get put to use before winter sets in ;) Cough El's car as a test panel lol ;)

Roll on the next TED meets :)

New Mk4 Golf/Bora aero wiper arms are on :D

I was previously useing the old OE type wiper blades, these sit a lot lower than those and from inside the car you can hardly see them.

Things have been a bit quite on the car front lately, mainly due to do a lot of work on the house.

I did manage to get a dry weekend to try out the new DA, did'nt get any pictures but it came up really well, it has high lighted some areas that need a bit more attention which I will deal with soon.

My plans for future work on the car was to get it texed & MOT'd (being done next week) and fully check over all the bushes, then book it in to AmD for the Super Pro poly kit, if tthe MOT shows they are ok then they can wait till the spring, the next job is to get the front and rear bumpers repainted and then sort out the wheel's, either replace them or get them re powder coated as the have started to bubble in places.
That was untill I saw an add for these.....

They need a good clean and one of the bolsters on the drivers side base has gone a bit out of shape but I will get all of this sorted before I fit them.

Your car never ceases to amaze me! It looks very nice in those pictures. The wheel spacers seem to have finished the stance off perfectly!

Nice buy on the seats. I only learnt recently that some LCRs came without the Recaros. I have the front and rear Recaro buckets in mine, and they seat really well. They'll definitely compliment your car. I use Vanish foam and a steam clean on mine to bring them up.

How are you getting on with the front splitter?

James :)

It's a shame they didnt all come with Recaro's, I've only sat in them loose on the floor but they are very comfortable.
I know a guy who's got an industiral carpet cleaner and he's going to give them a going over for me soon, I'll try some vanish as well :)

Those Recaro's certainly didn't like the corners on the way home today mate!

Good find though and a great buy. Was a fun drive out also.

That ghost pic is mint!

Looking forward to seeing the Recaro's all cleaned up and installed into the car. Just needs wheels now and the cosmetic touch ups now to surely win some awards at shows. As shown today with the guy selling the Recaro's, your car amazes people with its condition. Keep it up mate, I can see some awards on the horizon for 2013 ;)

We went out for a little drive today and in the process managed to rip off part of the lower carbon splitter :( In an attempt to avoid a flooded road I ended up down another flooded raod but this time I was unable to turn around and had no choice but to wade through it, it didnt look that deep but at one stage the water did splash up over the bonnet, the joys of lowered cars

Apart from looseing my front Carbon Fibre No plate and damaging the splitter the car did really well.

A bit of better new's, After speeking to Maz I decided to have a go at getting rid of the water stains from the Recaro's, I used APC mixed to a ratio of 4:1 and agitated it with a soft detailing brush.

I've only done one at the moment and it's a bit hard to tell from this picture as they are still a bit wet but it looks a lot better.
