But it's N/A and not as tuneable as a VAG. Oh, and been Japanese the interior won't feel as sturdy. Grass isn't always greener.... ;)

Yeah i no what you mean. Also a remap should cure my need for more power. If i sold my car for 6500 then buy a wrx/type r for 3500 then id have 3k left over.

Can you remap the Jap cars - I thought they made sure their ECU's could not be mapped, so you have to spend cash going forced induction and aftermarket ECU. That was certainly the case with my Celica, hence why i sold it and put the money towards a newer car with more tuning potential.

A wrx can be mapped but think its a customer map. Yeah with the ctr you got to buy a hondata ecu for like 1k..... i guess a remap and springs on mine would make a big difference?

Calculated the mileage I'd done in the past 4 days for work this week.

555 miles. That's just above average for a normal 5 day week. God knows how many miles it would have been if I'd worked a full week.

Well I had a bit of bad and good news this afternoon , I am not sure what to make of it really but here goes.
I have had the eml on since I went apr stage 2 a few weeks back. Any how I have had the car back in twice to try and fix the issue. It is due to my de- cat throwing up an error to do with the emissions ( to be expected ) . They need a map that is called 'test pipes' to erase the code. However This afternoon it has became clear that I am the only person in the UK with a stage 2 2.0 TSI Leon because apr do not even do a code for it over here!

So what have I been running on, I hear you say?

All along I have been running a weaker American stage 2 map. Due to the **** fuel over there the map is turned right down ( there best is equal to 91 RON ! )

Anyway APR are now writing me a brand new custom code for a European ( more power and torque ) stage 2 file that will not bring up the eml. So therefore they tell me it will be a lot quicker than it already is :D. Plus the proper European stage 2 will be available for all other 2.0 tsi Leon as of when the code is completed, so thank me later guys :D

The only bad bit was I found it a little bit sneaky that I didn't have the actual map I payed for from the beginning. If I had no problems I would never of had to go back to the garage, and I would never of known I was running a weaker map. But fair play to apr for sorting out a new code.

Going back next week for the real deal, I can't wait to test it out.

PPfftt. I do about 1000 miles a week for my job.

I've got a 2011 company Astra with 75k on the clock now.

Today, I think I found the source of an annoying rattle! The bootlid had a bit of play in it when closed, so I put about 8 wraps of insulating tape round the boot catch, it now shuts that little bit tighter and doesn't rattle..... result!
