Just been doing some cosmetic work on my new baby. Replaced leaky front door seals, sealed bulkhead hole, replaced rear wiper for fabia wiper, fitted new passenger side fog light and sanded down and spray painted all four door handle / hand rest thingys.

well yesterday i had just checked out the car from underneath as you do when you buy a new car bit of a ocd thing of mine to make sure every think is all ok and looks like i need to replace the outer cv boot thats got a small rip in it,change the rear pads as there pretty much dead!!and change the oxygen sensor as the orange light of diagnosis has come on and stayed on got it checked out at the garage and they come up with that as the problem.
Is the sensor located near the back of the engine on the down pipe just after the mainfold?or at the bottom of the downpipe just before the corner bend??

You need to read the codes to determine which 02 sensor it is.
Do you still have a cat fitted?

yes mate the cat is still fitted to it,car is all std nothing been messed with.i did check out a few garages to see if they could look at it but all was busy so i just poped into kwik fit (i know yeh )but they were able to do it there and then, and ur man there said that it was the oxygen sensor
.sounds stupid i know but didnt think there at the time to ask for the codes ect just the problem.
bit new to all this new tec stuff lol :(
my mate had a odb 2 comp hooked that up and came up with a cooling issue with the code p1296 the thermostat was changed about 3 wks ago or so but seems fine to drive lol did a 8 hr trip no problem
