How does it compare to yours mate, seriously speaking :p

I'll have to get a video :p

Not sure I just think mine moves quicker than that, but could be wrong? I'm up on power from last year for sure this is the fastest it has ever felt :D

Don't worry Adam, Tom couldn't get away from me and I'm running much much much less power :p

Pah! That drive on route to Brands? It was wet and you know what my brakes are like! Could easily have lost you with the brakes on ;) lol.

Haha. It seemed faster to me when actually doing the run, must be the adrenaline while doing it

Any ideas what this would sell for guys?

I would check parkers.co.uk for a guide, you can safely say yours is in very good nick but to be honest you're unlikely to ask for a premium because it's modified, joe punter will just see it as one of the more expensive examples out there. If you advertise on here you might manage to charge a bit more than the Parker's price for a private sale based on good condition if someone's looking for one with good mods already in place.

What reg. is it?

Yeah I understand mate. I wouldn't want to sell it to Joe public because of the mods, would much rather it went to someone that appreciates it. Its a 52 plate with 100k miles.

Hmm, parkers.co.uk reckons £2660 private sale, good nick, 90k miles. I'd be tempted to return it to as close to standard as possible and sell the mods on. Bit of a hassle but at a valuation like that it'll make a bigger difference to the total amount you get back. Guess that's why we're seeing a lot of folk doing this, or breaking the car completely.

If you were to sell to an enthusiast that knew enough to recognise the time, effort and money you've put in you might manage to ask a bit over £3k or so but I'd reckon you'd probably see more selling a few of the higher-cost mods then selling the rest of the car whole.

I looked at similar mileage ones on piston heads in worse condition with way less mods than mine going for £3.5k-£4k so was hoping for between £4-£4.5k really. But what you are saying is quite dissapointing :(

I really wouldn't want to break it due to the effort involved in swapping and fitting standard parts. Maybe its worth it for the high-cost mods then sell the rest of the car as it is. I will have to have a think.

Appreciate the feedback though mate!

Mine is a late 55 plate on a bit over 63k mate, I'd be surprised if I got a lot more than £4.5k for mine. Sad fact is most punters will base their opinion on what a car is worth on the likes of Parkers, Glass' etc. and they're pretty average valuations based only really on age, mileage and market appetite for a given car based on things like fuel economy vs. fuel price. Mods won't factor in and in fact some folk looking for a standard car will either offer less or avoid it altogether.

Have the ones you've seen on PH actually sold? Any idea if they got close to the asking price? Most people will put an asking price a bit higher than they're prepared to accept so they have a bit of room to negotiate.

As far as the mods go unfortunately people almost never get a fair price for a car as modified as yours. If you want to get something back for them you really have to remove them and sell them on. On the upside, because these cars are getting very cheap there are plenty of people who like modifying cars snapping them up and looking for goodies to stick on them.
